I just vaped almost 2 years old northern lights.

Still works hard! great rich vape, good taste, very strong body high but not couch lock.

I am surprised, I didn't thought it will be so potent after almost 2 years in jar in room temperature.
The jar contains humidity bag, maybe it helps.

This was the last thread about it back then, when I asked if to chop or wait 4 more days.. I ended up waiting 5 more weeks lol

I already planned to make butter from all of it, cause I thought its too old and probably lost its potent.

Really nice surprise (6 jars)

I can tell you that its even now taste better than the medical weed I have
Just took another puff to taste, really taste normal.
I am using a mighty + bong adapter.
Not a fresh taste off course but surprisingly good, just weak.

But the high is strong, the vape is rich cloud
Does it still smell as strong? The same?

Nope.. they have smell but soft and not like fresh weed.

And I tell you one more thing
Those humidity bags are taking out the smell, long before weed will lost it naturally
That is a compromise I got used to.. always the smell goes away after a while with the bags... but for long storage its the best way I know

I agree. I think they're best just to stabilize the RH at the beginning and then take them out after the burping process. But I've been trying to get it just right without them. Still tastes great and hits hard though with the packs. I'm smoking some Chem 91 right now that's almost 3 years old. It's got a pack in it but still expands like a mofo in my lungs. :eyesmoke:

They aren't taking out the smell. The smell is off gassed terpenes, because they are volatile compounds. Heat and a lack of humidity cause them to evaporate. When they evaporate they hang out in the jar. When you open the jar you get hit by the smell. IN order to steal the scent, they have to off gas, which is what the packs are preventing. They will break down over time no matter what, but humidity packs slow the process much more than without.

Did it turn brown?

I still have some three year old Zombie Kush. It's brown but still hits hard and very narcotic and a bit psychedelic. I sold a few oz to a friend and he still has them. I'm going to trade a fresh oz I just harvested for one of those back.

Telling you right now, some peppercorns under the tongue and a few rips of that brown shit puts me into space followed by a deep, satisfying eight-hour hibernation. It's exactly why they age hash.

Interesting.
So how much time it will take without the packs?

Next time I will do with and without
