Types of humidifiers.

I have been using a warm mist humidifier for a long time with decent results but it recently crapped out on me so I went to the store and bought an evaporative humidifier because it has a large reservoir. I didn't know before hand that the evaporative humidifiers are just big reservoirs with a filter that wicks up water and a fan to pull the air out of the reservoir... I kinda feel ripped off.

I see ultrasonic humidifiers are more efficient but also cost quite a bit more...

Do you guys prefer one type of humidifier over another?

I have good luck with the ultrasonics, but I have small grow areas under 200 cubic feet.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V6QRB6W is the one I'll be using for my next grow. Because it's top fill I was able to add a small float valve to it and plumb it into an RO filter. It puts out a blue glow, so I'll be light proofing it as well.

Are the pond foggers for larger grows usually? I'm just trying to get some moisture in the air of a 10' x 10' room with two 2' x 4' tents in my basement. I have a controller set up that is turning the humidifier on if it drops below 55% and off if it goes above 63% and this new one seems to be doing the trick but I'm not sure it was worth the money.

Gets dry here in the winter.

The pond foggers are ultrasonic and can be sized for small or large grows. My last round I used a 3 gallon bucket with a pond fogger, a float valve hooked up to RO and a small computer fan. Worked fine.
