Im nealy 5 weeks into flowering now and i dont have any "big" or "solid" buds is there an explosion of growth in the final 3-6 weeks of flowering?

ive got 6 plants in a 1.2m by 1.2m room, they had 6 weeks vege and ive run outa room. the bottom ends of my main heads are not getting alot of light, should i cut of sum of the bigger leafs to allow lower leafs on the same branch to recieve more light?

wen should i start flushing?

growing in soil, high humidity (65ish), good temps and had a problem with spidermites.

Any comments appreciated...

sometimes the bud explosion does take a little longer its never possible to totally predict, i recon it was around 4th or 5 th week with my present grow, the other thing is whether its an indica or sativa youve got. and yes i personally prune the ass off my plants around halfway on the flowering cycle, some dont and will burst into flames if u suggest it to them!!! its your call buddy.

i thought the leaves is food for the plant, i.e it uses food from bottom leaves to produce energy while its in flower?? i might be wrong here?? but then if you are feeding them nutes then i would say they dont need any leaves (in theory any way)
this has got me wondering now lol

leaves are both food storage and photo synthesis units. the plant must have leaves to collect light but some leaves can be removed, or just bend them down and out the way. the jury is out on what to do and u will get some really strong arguments on what to do. i dont really touch leaves till i'm around 4 or 5 weeks into flower and then i only take a few at first when its the last 2 weeks i get a little more chop happy, i leave some on the top of the man cola to feed it and remove any lower leaves that i think are superfluous or in the way of the little side buds. i want the bottom and sides of my plants to get light but also after i harvest the main cola i give the plant another week of life to mature the bottom and side buds but thats just my own preference, like i said every one has there own way. oh and i aim for 3 oz per plant( but that can be optomistic!!!!)
