im trying to seperate a few of the babies in my sog but a few stands of roots connect them all together, now ive been successfull in untangling 2 out of 4 but it looks like the only way to free the remaining 2 is to cut a few strands( not the main root ball but a couple strands weaved together)
will this be devistating, or should i proceed and they will recover:confused:

a good method i've found is to completely submerge the roots in proper pH water. then a gentle swish and tug should seperate the roots. this is nearly shock free and even better if you have an airstone in with the water.
