Upgrading LED Lights

Man, I was estimating and paying my electric bill just fine. I shut off everything for a month and it came out higher. Im not even running everything yet and summer is coming and the bill is already ouch. They wont hear me out all the sudden its fustrating.

Remembering to remain calm its a priviledge and to just pay what ever they say. Its gonna be like 200$ a month maybe more since this happened. At least I get 100 a month in chores. When you live together with people house gets dirty fast and easy to convince to pay me for it.

That and odd jobs, you know. Whatever generates extra money. Where I live electric is a bitch so I didnt realize growing here is ouch. Almost 20 cents per kwh.

So I need to flower it out and shut it down so the chores can start to pay it off and become free. If I can remain shut down long enough with enough product. Im struggling to yield high while avoiding pm and budrot.

Im doing great but for ex I thought I had 18oz or more coming and 5gs rosin per oz. Well my last chop was 16% rosin so thats 4.5gs a oz and now its not exploding in yield even though vegged 10wks.

Could be season could be switch to fabric pots idk but those two stand out. Its 55F often lately but realized a vent is shut so opened it its 65F now. They might shut the vent again because they think its better for upstairs and they like it cooler.

Livin with people ey lol. Id love my own place Im old enough but itll take time. Just like anyone else I got the same problems and goals, trying to live.

So yea from 18oz 5gs per oz to now thinking 13oz to 4.7gs rosin per oz. So expressing that I might not meet my goals the way I expected but not too far off from. That Il always be struggling to yield myself out to shutting down for a year. Could try doing half yr on half yr off repeat. Winters only.

It could exceed my expectations its pretty early. Ive been surprised many times in the 15 clones I ran throughout time. In bud yield and rosin yield with rosin quality being bonkers. Trying keep chin up Im killing it from last grow just keep it up.

The BAB’s though.. I just learned to use a paper towel to guage air flow. Welp it either flops straight down which you can feel somewhat. The spots I thought were dead though actually where the box fan is actually pulling air to it dramatically fast. It lifted the towel straight up.

So theres air moving fast from wall to wall.

BAB’s baby! Im proud of myself idk if I ever seen them before. The community helped get me on the right track and I think I just looked at my vipar 3x3 and just put it together. Then spent a thousand to get the rest like this as I yielded 6oz pretty easy.

Idea for upgrading lights.

This idea dropped into my brain last night.
Currently manufactured led lights are dimmable and can turn SOME led's off and on to change spectrum.
Why not make ALL the led's dimmable
In nature most cannabis grows in a tree formation. lower leaves are around the center. If you could dim sections of lights in concentric circles you could maintain a higher light source on the bottoms without scorching the tops and without training the plant. Even if training was used being able to change light power to different areas would help when training goes bad.

Individual round lights with circle dimming would be an idea some light manufacturer should get on it LOL.

Im currently thinking about having a transfer to breaker panel then the inlet outside. Power my furnace with my generator if an outage during winter. Didnt realize house would freeze which means no water and maybe pipe damage so theyre already pretty much ok with it. The owners.

My mom plant and veg plants would be in freezing cold. I want to see if I can add a couple more inlets to use the whole generator while theyre messing with circuits.

Then the minisplit is the last of it. I could get by without that but as I look into it itll be like 1600 for unit and 1000 to install as it needs itsown circuit. Would be nice if that can be added to the transfer switch for the generator too.

My gen is 7500/9500 watts so it cant do much more than this. No home ac or washers dryers stoves just the important stuff. Aiming to have 1600w in fridges 400w entertainment.

Just under 15a for the grow and 300w for veg grow. Shoot I could have microwave or etc for food. I didnt realize its a big gen and what I could do with it. So itll be a good investment. You meed to by fire code or whatever its called.

It would cut down on all the cords everywhere. I can only use 30a as of now when I got two more 15a outlets. Its just like impossible to just extend those like I did the 30a which was much needed help from here. I didnt figure that out myself.

I could have it paid off in just months working hard. Idk what the next upgrade would be. Thats what Im thinkin right now though. Thats if my gas furnace is 1200w. Maybe take everything down have it done and over with because I need the mini split too.

You cant just use the whole home ac for one roomif you know you know. 100 sq ft.

Them mars hydro fce150 buds. Its a nice light first run with them. Im pretty sure theyre different from the ts1000 slightly idk if you can educate me exactly how. I completely forget its about the diodes the fc’s vs fce’s and perhaps different from ts1000 shoot let me just google it.

Damn, ok. Bridgelux vs samsung I got the bridgelux. I didnt realize they had two different models pretty much the same. The bridgelux ppfd map shows its stronger though even though its saying the samsung has more ppfd per mol or whatever.

No other difference really. Idk if this is my first bridgelux. I think so. Theyre rockin out good though.

Perfect for BAB’s box fan above bar light. The air blows all around the canopy wall to wall and if theres a spot you dont feel any air.. Its actually lifting air towards the fan enough to lift a paper towel straight up so air is moving alright.

Power went out. Using my genny. Its awesome. My grow is fully functioning. My starter might be bad on my genny though its just clicking. Either low battery or need to have someone fix. Will get on it.

I cant manage to pull start it Im not good with that sort of thing. Need to start doing push ups… My weak ass.

Yea idk what that was about, I tried again and started it just fine. The starter is broken though. So the push start wont work. The power is back so thats cool I got to test it out. This why I needed to mess with it sooner so Im actually prepared next time.

Will hire someone to fix the starter. I was out right nail biting nervous about all this and I shat a brick when the power was out but just sprung into motion. In disbelief. Doubting it would work but it did. Its not even that loud. It is but not from imside the house but when open a window or door yikes its loud.

You adjust to it when standing outside but ya. Its so/so on loudness. I believe the dba rating which I think is 72-74dba. a lawn mower is like 94dba. A gunshot is 115. Im so at ease now that I went through my first outage!!

I had a roommate help start it the first time but yea theyre beyond appreciative that I had a genny. They said a few times literally how I saved the day. I want to invest more into this.

I was more worried about my own genny working but I was at ease hearing like one or two gennys going off near by. In areas I never heard gennys before but what would I know, I didnt have a genny or a full blown perpetual mother clone grow ahhhhh!

I want to get that transfer switch and just have most my damn house powered up. There was tv, cable air fryer or microwave food. Said I rescued them from boredom. Wow this was such a privilege to experience normally youd just sit around screwed.

I had to choose one of my fridges though since limited to 30a. So gonna just get that transfer instead of buying my own fridge. I buy my own food and it can be a costly loss up to 400$ in food could be gone.

Im just gonna buy less and more often. Stuff it into one fridge and the other theyll know is subject to loss for now.

The owners are down. Waiting on me now for action. Only if I can, turns out they think the box has no more circuits which might be a problem. Unless it can just plug into a bedroom but it would have to be on its own circuit. If its connected to the other rooms in basement then me and others are already using up a lot of watts.

I am anyway.. I use 300w for my grow and rosin press is 1200w. Probably its own circuit. So Im stoked but nervous. I guess I just call them up and ramble to them instead of here lol.

That was easy.. I thought it would be hard to pull off but they care more about if its even possible even though its only 600/1200w running/peak watts. If I can get a minisplit thatd be badass, I can always go hard.

Then the transfer switch.. I want the guy to wire up most the house to it so we have everything but high powered things connected. To where I just try not to blow fuse on my generator pretty much. Just be mindful of what Im using. That but in tradesman terms idk how theyll do it.

Just based on my search it should be possible if not, you get the point. Just as much connected as possible.

Il start by seeing if its in own circuit by shutting off fuses and testing each outlet. I should find out fast if I can atleast use the many circuits that exist to plug in the mini split. Just have nothing else in that room above a certain wattage plugged in or just have the split off if needed and or not in use.

Thats the main concern if thats good then the rest is gravy I dont see why not.

Someone suggested that I could switch a circuit to 20a like my room in this case. If so then it could go there. Shoot I only have one outlet left though and its got 350w on it. My second dehuey is pushing things. But yea maybe another room can have it.

100a box. Its never tripped but I tripped my room before with a vacuum being stupid. Im at 80% of 15a in my room last I checked. Having moment wondering if theyre just going to ridicule my grow lol. Its tent city but if there was anything majorly concerning I would want to know.

I had people look at my grow no one pointed anything out and nothings changed. I simply upgraded it, its only 2 square feet larger than before. Its just refined and more efficient. Im wondering if I can do all this while growing or if I have to shut it down.

Whats obnoxious even though like I said its not much larger than before but you can only open door about a foot wide. Then tent right in your face. There used to be a dresser with mini tent on top of it kinda blocking the door a bit too. Not as bad but I got used to it quick. I aint calm until Im surrounded by tents.

So what Im getting at is I know Il have to take one tent down. Probably another but maybe not maybe I can just have them kindly help out and tell me what needs to be cleared out. Theres barely room to walk around. Watching a mr cool install I dont think that part is the hard part.

I wonder how theyre wire it up it could be as simple as fishing a line through the walls drilling a hole here and there. I said 1200 was what I was guessing for labor and so far my family said that sounds reasonable. Another 1200 for the transfer switch work which I think will be the fun easy part.

I forgot to add that yea theyre right. Everything seems to be in use on the box. If it wasmt it would be off right? They didnt kindly lable everything so half of it idk what part of the house its for. Id think if there were room for more circuits thered be switches in the off position in the box.

Buuut as far as I see I can add more amps to any circuit you just cant use more than 100a at once. All the amps on the box add up to well over 100a so I think Im good.
