Yep, it is. It's called us voters... We are the retards for not demanding that the era of professional politicians needs to end...

When Joe Smith the Farmer went to spend his 2 or 4 years in public elected office 150 years ago he knew he had to return to his farm when he was done and face the repercussions of his actions and answer to the members of his community...

Now, they stay in offices for life, never go back to where they "came from" and almost all of them seem to be required to be a lawyer, banker, or just plain rich in order to get there in the first place.....

I personally think our country is doomed if we don't start holding these asshats accountable.

Very, very true. It's getting harder and harder to hold them accountable though... because they're making it that way. The governor of Illinois for example... look at that fucking tool and what he's done to that state. I doubt he'll even go to jail for what he's done... and he most certainly belongs there.

That is an interesting read. A lot of our best and brightest would no longer be citizens... but then again, a lot of corrupt assholes sitting in their happy place in DC wouldn't be either.

I guess its true. I found reference to this amendment in archived copies of the constitution in multiple states and even the government acknowledged it, but they are trying to create rules that don't exist to invalidate it.

I personally don't think it would be able to pass at all today, but according to the documentation I have found it would only need to be ratified by, ummm, Virgina I think? And they did that already when they printed it in their states printing office version of the constitution.

Pretty crazy scenario huh?

I don't expect this to go anywhere though, because it was discovered like 20 years ago and no action has been taken yet on it and the lawyers running things sure as heck aint gonna let it get enacted.

Its not a hoax, but it may not mean what some think it does. Personally I am not sure what the full intent was, but since nothing will happen with it I doubt it matters.
