Use BUDS in bubble bags?

Hey Guys,

I am using all BUDS to make hash in my bubble bags. Can anyone advise on how the buds should be prepped?

I know to freeze them but am thinking maybe grind them up in a coffee grinder? I want to be sure to get all the trich's even on the insides of the buds

Any thoughts?

Ok i am interested in doing this myself. From what i have gathered from info on the web is that, buds are not very cost effective for bubble hash because they dont have the same flat large surface area that sugar leaves do.

So you need to break the buds up by hand , and not to small. YOu also need to be very gentle as not to erupt the Trichrome heads. So hand busting them up to expose the most surface area/thricromes is probably the best bet. If you do decide to use buds, please report back!!!!

I'm definitely using buds, I'll follow up with details in this thread as things progress :)

If anyone else has advice on prepping buds please share

Alright, so I ran my first bubble batch last night and here is the results:

120 grams of buds (not cured but dried)
buds were cut up with scissors (next time I will use a coffee grinder or hand grinder)

160 micron = 1 gram
120 micron = .5 grams
45 micron = 13 grams
25 micron = 1 gram

All in all I got a little over 15 grams of bubble hash.

After running the buds I examined them to find I could still see lots of trich's on the buds! The buds are still sticky so this means I've got more resin to get.

From here I am drying the buds again, once dry I will grind them up and re-process. I anticipate getting another 10 grams of hash.

More to follow!

The hash has had time to dry and I've gone ahead and sampled the final product and I must say I couldn't be happier :)

160 micron - Good flavor, there is clearly contamination in this as its grainy and greenish, hash is slightly malleable. Still not a bad smoke.
120 micron - Good flavor, contamination is slightly visible, dark brown to orange in color. Decent smoke, quick smooth high.
45 micron - Wow. Superb flavor, spicy aroma not too overwhelming. Very light on the lungs, doesn't feel like smoke. gold/blonde in color, no visible plant contamination. Amazing smoke, super quick high, smooth. It's really easy to over smoke with this stuff. You may find yourself bugging out very quickly. Super malleable, texture is reminiscent of a dry clay. Nice long smooth high.
25 micron - I have not smoked this yet but it is orange/brown, no visible contamination and is malleable.

I gave the 25 micron a try. Its decent smoke but has more of an oily quality to it. When lit this stuff sizzles just a bit whereas the 45 micron will bubble very very subtly on a small scale.
