Using 90s in tent duct for flow

Anyone ever used 90s 4-6 inch painted black in your tied off duct holes. I'm testing it now and it looks promising. Light can't shine around corners. No reflection from flat black equals a lot more air flow in your tent

I use light baffles, $4.00usa at the hydro store. This is just a random screenshot to show you an example. Screenshot_20220719-141817_Chrome.jpg

You still want to filter the intake. I just use a short piece of ducting with some filter material. The material is half green and half black. No light gets in but it keeps all the dust and crap out of the tent. If you don't filter you're letting crap into your tent that will end up on your buds.

I have two 4 inch and one six inch vent setup this way. You can see all the crap the filter catches.

I use 90 degree elbows with ducting and pantyhose...
keeps out flys and such but I doubt it filters anything else out.

Do you just get this filter material at the hardware store? Can you buy small quantities of it? I can't find anywhere in the states to ship the light baffle for under $23 or so, so I'm gonna run to menards on lunch today.

It's just a washable furnace filter. I cut it up into the size pieces I needed. I got it at Home Depot. I looked at the Menards website and it doesn't look like they carry the brand I got but they did have this.
