using a 200 micron bag for the work bag vs a traditional 220 micron bag

I recently ordered a 5 gallon 220 micron replacement work bag for my 4 bag set, but they sent me a 200 micron bag instead. I am not sure why. Should I bother to try and exchange it, or will the 200 micron bag work just as well? Does anyone here use a 200 for the work bag? I am thinking that by using the 200 micron for the work bag, that less impurities will get through right out of the gate. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

I would agree. Starting at 200 would logically leave less trash in your 160.

I did not know that they still made 200 micron bags. I know that earlier sets did come with the 200 instead of the 220 for the the work bag. I will most likely keep the bag and use it. Too much hassle to return it and it was only $10. I was shocked as shit to even find a single replacement bag at that price to begin with. I just hope that the label on the inside of the bag is correct and it does in fact have a 200 micron screen. Thanks for replying.

Robert Clarke in his book Hashish, gave the following for trichome sizes:

150 microns - large plant debris
130 microns - very large resin glands
110 microns - large resin glands
90 microns - medium resin glands
70 microns - small resin glands and debris
50 microns - very small debris and little resin

Before I got a washing machine and bags, I made hash using a 150 micron stainless mesh pop riveted into the bottom of a plastic bucket.

I also shortened the bucket by cutting the top off, dropping the bottom section through the top and pop riveting it into the new position.

That allowed it to sit in another bucket and leaving space under it to catch the trichomes as they fell through the top buckets screened bottom, in which I agitated plant material in an ice bath using a dry wall mixing paddle in an electric drill.
