using acid resistant capsules

If you put oil or butter in acid resistant capsule the thc would bypass your stomach and dissolve in your intestine. Besides taking longer to start feeling high, what would be the difference from regular capsules?

Think I read once about thc processing in your stomach first and then again somewhere else and so you actually absorb more thc eating than smoking. But it sounded like maybe it fucks with your liver or kidneys more too. Anyone have understanding of this and can explain what happens different between starting at the stomach and bypassing the stomach to the intestine only?

in the meantime, studying some. Assuming fat pills,
  • stomach using gastric Lipase... can convert close to 30% of fats into diglycerides and fatty acids
  • small intestine uses liver's bile that help further break down fats.
  • Following this, enzymes break apart fatty acids.
  • Lipase from the pancreas to the instestine further digests fats into monoglycerides and fatty acids.
  • maybe the 30% fats normally broke down by stomach lipase will regardless be broken down by intenstinal lipase
  • results then go in the lymphatic system
  • then into blood
  • Nothing passes thru the wall of the stomach into the blood, I think.
  • the liver breaks down the main psychoactive ingredient delta-9-THC into other molecules. First, enzymes turn delta-9-THC into 11-OH-THC (which is also psychoactive) and then some non actives
I can't see any advantages to pills that bypass the stomach jumping out at me, unless edibles give you a stomach acid problem for some reason. Still hopeing someone knows more.
