Variegated from seed? Problem or no?

Hey guys, just trying to get some advice on something I've run into:

Below are OG Kush on the left, and Grape Stomper on the right. As you'll see in the pics, the Grape Stomper is variegated, and IMO seems a bit stunted. I've had these plants for about 17 days, they're about 25-30 days from seed.

For comparison, here's the day i brought em home:

I think my dad had em in hot soil initially.

More pics of the variegation:

These are both fem seedlings, not clones so I know there wasn't any contamination, BUT, can such contamination occur at the seed level? I also briefly read some plants will grow out of it, but this seems persistent. Advice??

Swear to god this Grape Stomper is just not growing at a proper rate, and I don't want to waste time flowering out a dud! Should I cull it and start something else?? Advice needed please. Thanks guys

Fun pic of the Christmas cat in the meantime:

It looks like it's putting it's energy to side branding. It will probably stay short but if you have space for a bush I bet she will fill in nicely. They look nice and healthy :weed:
