Veg light strategy to keep plants short?

Hey guys. I am building a veg tent for plants that will finish in a 4x4x6 flower tent. Obviously height is a major concern of mine.

I plan on vegging for 8 weeks so as to maximize yields in a perpetual harvest.

How can I do this while ensuring my plants don't grow too tall for the flower tent?

Is MH better than t5 for keeping plants stout? LED's maybe? Something else? Thank you!

LST, topping and/or scrog will make more of a difference to height than you're light will.

If you can maximize light efficiency you can minimize stretch but you gotta work out what that means for you and what works in your space.

As a noob myself if I was in your shoes I'd be keeping the light close enough so they don't stretch when young but not to close as to burn them. Then definitely be lst, topping, and learning to super crop. Also scrog netting when they go into flower tent. Plus growing strains that aren't known for being sky scrapers. IMHO.
