veg with T5 flower with led?

Dig the T5 start to finish but want to try led. Love the T5 for vegging and don't want to give it up. Can I veg with the T5 and then flower with an led? I've read that if you want to flower with led you need to veg with led.

You read some bullshit. The plants will wince at the LED at first, a little wilting, but I would call it wincing. Don't get the LED too close right away, see how they tolerate it, LED have more intensity and therefore penetration than T5s. Use them all if you can, I've had good results with a combination of fluoros and cheap 5w blurple LEDs.

Never heard of flowering with led only after vegging with led.

What your suggesting.. Veg under t5 and flower under led is absolutely fine buddy.

Start the led far away and day by day decrease the distance to the canopy.

I veg using 4 four feet t5 HO. Then t5 ho and led for flowering.

I veg and flower with LED only. It's pretty common.
