Venting air out the drain vent?

The house is 13 years old and has 4in. pvc going down into the basement floor. I have used this for an air dump for my little space under the stairs - using a scrubber and 130 cfm fan - and so far it seems to work fine! The air leaves the house from the little pvc chimney on the roof. As I am growing med, I am legal but I live in the burbs and stealth is imperative... I have great neighbors, but well, you know.

I am moving to a larger room in the basement ( built to be a bathroom someday) and am thinking of using the capped 6 in pvc for an airdump for the cool tubes and/or exhaust for the room.

Can anyone tell me if this will cause any problem? Doesn't the crook in the sink and tub drains keep any gasses from backing up through them?

I am totally ignorant of how this drain/vent system works! Has anybody else used this system for venting a grow? If I cannot use this, I will really have to get creative to vent all this air...

Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm hoping the carbon takes care of that! Third week of flower and so far so good...
Is this a common way of dumping air from a grow? I haven't heard of anyone else doing this although if it is viable I'll bet a lot of small growers are venting this way...
Being in the basement really limits the possibilities for venting.
