venting my grow room ( new member)

I have a small grow closet 7' tall and 4x4 wide and deep, my prolem is odor,if I use a charcol filter on my exit fan does it have to be vented outside the house? This closet is in the center of the house and cant vent up,any suggestions will help.thanks.

You can vent it into another room.

will the filter take care of the odor , if vented to the next room?

It should as long as the fan and the filter are properly matched and all ducting is sealed properly.

Thanks, do you think a 4" fan will work? does home depot carry that sort of stuff?

Not the Home Depot around here, all of that stuff is online order only. I have seen some 4" and 6" inline fans on e-bay for really cheap, get 2 - 6" for $42 shipped to your door or a box of 4 - 4" fans for $65 shippped to your door. There are deals out there, just have to hunt them down.

Those cheap 6" inline fans are boosters only. The 25$ ones. You get what you pay for and those things will not pull through a carbon filter. I own 2 and they are great for intake or boosting cfm in a long vent.
