Ventting question with my tent

Ok sooo here's what I got
1 90w led UFO
12 cfl (might doubble to 24)
and a dwc setup


I ordered a 4 x 4 x 6 tent
sooo here's my vent question Im not ueseing a hid light sooo I don't think heat will be much of a issue but do you think it's possible to get away with ueseing 2 of those cheap 30$ inline ductfans from home depot? I'm allso planing on haveing the exhaust fan blow through a home made carbon filter so I'm not sure if those fans are strong enough and I can't find any info on the cfm. So anyone have any advice for me?

you've been mislead with the cfl's they actually emmit more heat and less lumens per watt than hid's so if you got say 250w cfl's vs. 250w hps then the hps room will be cooler and brighter...

The cfm rating on the 6" duct fan is about 250 for whats it's worth. That fan kind of fan is not going to blow through a quality made filter. It might work with a thinly homemade filter but will always work better if you suck through vs blowing through.
Advice is to use a better fan

HPS cooler than CFL's?

Heres my opinion. if you compare 12 or 24 cfls u might as well get an 400w hps or something. i wouldnt waste my time flowering with cfls. u dont yeild alot with cfls. And what people dont realize. is if your growing in a small area. or tent. a cooltube is a must.

compare the lumens per watt and see what the math tells u. also how hot do u think 24 cfls in a tent would get?. I'd imagine pretty hot. I was looking online the other day and saw a dude making cooltubes for cfls. They were mini's.

bigmoney is right and wrong in my opinion. that many cfl will generate to much heat to grow a good crop but not nearly the same amount of heat as a mh or hps. hid light are alot hotter but are easieir to cool, all you need is a vented hood or cool tube and a quality can fan. oh and by the way do the math and you will see hid light are still more efficiant per watt. with cfl you need to cool the tent by venting with a intake fan and a exhaust fan. if you do it that way you are removing the stinky and putting it some where else so now you better get a carbin filter. if you dont hook you intake fan to an outside vent but from another room in your house you will create a neg pressure situation in your home which will tax your central air more than it needs to which will raise electic bill. i like to use the electic for more lights not for cooling my house so correctly cooling your light will leave you more room on electric bill for lights. floro and cfls work great if you got a sealed room with a devoted ac unit but in a tent i think a single light is best. if your tent is in a seperate room by itsself you might concider isolating that room from you centel air , sealing room and add either a window ac unit or a portabe DUEL hose ac. let me know how it works for you

It's really not that hot my buddy has his 250w hps without any ventalation and just walking in their it's a oven on the contrary my current setup which I still have no ventalation for is noticibly cooler then his

but yea the main source of light is the led not the cfls the cfls are just their to help with the cannopy and to add a different light spectrum

I'm gonna try those fans and hopefully it works
