Drying shouldn't be a problem. Just find a few rooms w/ temp control and get to hanging. Curing now...that's going to take a lot of jars. I'd just try to find the biggest jars I can. Pickles come in big jars. Man, what a problem to have. I wish I had more ideas. I just had to chime in. 800 pounds?!!!

For that larger of an amount, yous buckets to cure it. It doesn't need to be jars..

ive heard of people using black plastic trash bags for that large amount of curring. but then if that all seems like too much of a hassle then you could always send a bunch to me and i will smoke.....er uh dry and cure it for ya.

Like anybody cures 800lbs of smoke.

Hung to dry in the woods then thrown into a trash compactor.

We call it swhag or brickweed.

After it's trimmed and dried, I'd put it into 800 turkey bags and do the curing in them - open them regularly, fluff it around a bit, let them sit open for a few, close, repeat, then adjust final weights after cure. After they're done, I'd store them in a temp/humidity controlled room.

I'm thinking about the cubic volume of 800 uncompressed pounds of weed and it looks to me like it would FILL an average bedroom. floor to ceiling, wall to wall. You can't put 800 pounds of weed in mason jars. Where are you going to get the jars? They'll cost you about 2000 dollars. They'll just make the weed take up that much more room. You need more like 55 gallon barrels lol. Turkey roasting bags cost 3-7 dollars each, and they won't hold a pound. . . .

Sensible? Turkey bags don't hold a pound? The bigger ones probably would hold 2 lbs., and I know from experience (and I assumed everyone growing pounds ought to know) that the smaller ones certainly do hold a lb. just fine. And, turkey bags for 3-7 dollars each!? LOL. Are they gold plated?
The grocery store sells a 5 pack of them for a few bucks. My local hydro store sells a 25 pack for $14. Probably they're much cheaper when you buy hundreds of them.

You're really going to be storing 800 lbs in your house? I assumed you were going to be way out in the hills somewhere and would have some sort of barn or big shed that you'd be working in.

Cure maybe (if the bin had a really tight seal), but not dry. Trying to dry in a bin sounds like a recipe for mold IMO.

I don't mean any offense, but it sounds like you have some experience with some aspects of growing and limited experience with other parts. IMO, you ought to do some smaller grows - start to finish - before taking on something so huge.
