Vet needs advice 1st grow G Scout Cookies

Hi all I have Girl Scout Cookies. 4 1/2 plants total the half yeah first time grower issues. The other 4 seem to be going well. Im in the perfect environment and 5 gallon pots watering with 6.5 ph balanced water and using only Fox Farm Grow Big nutrients. I water as needed pretty good on the watering and nutrients no issues no pests at all. Only issue i’m curious about is why my plants seem smaller than all the videos and posts i’ve seen? I’ve had my babies in VEG for 63 days now under a 24/7 Philzon 100 watt LED Grow light. Should I go 12 / 12 Light already and let em flower? Or keep veg’n to increase the yield. First time grow and i’m not desperately trying to get a ton of buds just wanna do it right! This is a full time hobby for me and it really helps me with my PTSD. I’m sure u vets know what I mean. I look forward to any and all feedback! Thanks

Hey man. Your LED's are outdated tech to be honest. Some here may try and defend the blurples just because we've seen results on rare occasions and usually talent & touch played the biggest role.

Those plants are tiny for 63 days. My plants look like that around 20 or so days. How close is your light to your plants top? Whats the grow space dimensions? I'd flower now considering your light doesn't have the penetration power to get through all those extra fan leaves to make all those newer shoots grow buds. You're still going to have a pre-flower stretch and lots more growth.

24 inches lights to tops of plants. Grow space is 4’ by 2’ very small. Seen hundreds of vids but none truly answer the question but I believe ur right just roll into flower now. Gonna start flower feed at 2 weeks 50/50 with grow big. Some buds are better than none. Thanks

Honestly i would move that led light as close to your plants as you possibly can. Just throw ur hand under the light above the top of your plants and if it's uncomfortable move it higher. But your light is not strong enough to be at that distance for optimal growth. Fuck what philzon advertises in there specs.

I run cob LEDs which get hot enough to cause a fire and still prefer to have them as close as I can get away with) less than 12inch)

You're light loses PAR at further distances. The closer your light. The better the light can penetrate the canopy.

True that my light puts off almost not heat at all! I touch the plastic on the light and its barely even warm. Ill drop it lower but I’m going to start flower now since my grow space is so small. Thank you!

I run a 2x2x4 space for early veg/seedlings!

I use the HLG 100v2 3500k for my light. It pulls around 97w from the wall. Runs about $160 online.
If you have room you could even run two HLG 65s.
check my journal if you want to see it in action!

Yeah next grow you might wanna shell out around $200 bucks for a USA made cob or quantum board. Either the HLG as suggested, spider farmer, or I really like California Light work Systems.

yea for sure need better lights the 100 watt wont do it for them thats why they are so small 63 days those should be like 3ft

I am now down to 3 plants two were male removed them early. Now the 3 remaining are in their 8th week of flower? Buds are strange and leaves are popping out of the top? Had a nitrogen toxicity but flushed the plants Out. New leaves growing in normal now but still very sad buds not sure if I should just call this one and start a new grow or let it go and see if buds eventually fatten up? Take a look at the new pics and please lemme know your opinions! New Spider 2000 light since the older lights were just not enough. Thanks all! ✌

Way to much nitrogen still. The leaves are popping out like that and the flowers are looking odd because of to much nitrogen possibly locking out other essential macronutrients. 'PK'

Your plants look like they have revegged. Did you mess with the light cycle cause it sure looks like you did or your timer is messed up. This is not from N tox.

I read 24/7 for lights and in another post I'm going to start flowering.

24/7 for 60+ days on a photo isn't great. The plants need a dark phase to help grow. 24/7 is for autos.

Am I wrong? Are they actually autos? The blurple might be messing me up like a 5g network.

I cut N down to next to nothing and did a 10 gallon ph’d only flush on each plant. Then the new leaves started comin out I was on a 12-12 then switched to 18-6 now back to 12-12 pretty sure it re vegged. All good though first grow live and learn. Thanks for the help!

I cut N down to next to nothing and did a 10 gallon ph’d only flush on each plant. Then the new leaves started comin out I was on a 12-12 then switched to 18-6 now back to 12-12 pretty sure it re vegged. All good though first grow live and learn. You are 100% on the money time change is bad! Thanks!

Nope 12-12 is the right choice on a timer. The plants gotta have it. I thought 18-6 would help the buds be fatter but I messed it all up changing the light cycle in mid flower!

Your plant started to reveg
You got impatient and went back to flower
Now you just have a mess
No bud structure and a waste of time in my opinion
I would start over because you are headed for a massive disappointment
