Vine Weevils & how to destroy em

thats my grow journal .... ive been posting pics and asking for help but nobody Gurus have replied. how do i get rid of vine weevils ? i noticed one little guy runnin around on my pot so i caught it and researched it. Upon research i was told to take cardboard and place it over the surface of the dirt ( put a slit so that it can go around the stem ) then put lubricant all overr it so that the bugs cant crawl to the plant ... but id rather get some sort of chemical so i know there all gone for sure. what can i use that wont harm my plant ?

when i grab some chemical to spray on my soil and kill these bastards ... will my plants recover ? it seems that some of them are stunted still. either that or that plant(s) are under stress from these cocksuckers in the soil eatin at my roots. its so sad to see this .... some tips are wilted downward and you can literally pop the leaf so its facing the opposite direction. its as if the leaf is hard not soft if anyone can understand.

so i got this stuff ... its called ' safers 3 in 1 garden spray. and its for fruit bearing plants. has anyone ever used or heard of this and if so does anyone believe it will work ? if so what are the steps i take. wait till lights out ... then soak the shit top to bottom including soil ?

thanks tetra and twisty for your help .... i pulled the plants and shut off the light for a few hours .... and the rest is as follows :

- soaked leaves top and bottom including soil ( as directions said )
( also said not to spray while in direct sunlight ie MH )
- pulled all my stuff out of my room and vacuumed
- wiped down my walls ( only around the grow area )
- painted 3 coats of white around cleaned area
- painted inside of closet door ( ill show before & After pics )
- re hung wiring/ switch positions of the fans
- added new/ clean poly for the floor
- before i turned the light back on I sprayed down the plant & soil with
PH'd water

that about sums it all up for today. i spent a few hours and hopefully they pay off.Before i go to bed im gonna drench the plants leaves & soil again ( it says to spray it till theres solution rollin off the leaves ) cause i read that Vine weevils come out at night when its dark and do the most damage. so hopefully soaking it will kill them. omg lmao. earlier while i was doin the updates .... i was baked off tuna and fuckin ... i saw a fly in my bathroom so i grabbed the 3 in 1 shit and sprayed it with a mist and it sat on my towel .... then it flew after a min and i sprayed it again and it literally instantly keeled over

how come when i added a new reply to a thread ... it doesnt show up bolded on the main msg board ? also the pic with the weird lookin stand type thing ( wood) is the section i use for clones to get rooted.

Good work, hopefully kill those little bastards, never had weevils, other critters though.
