Again you're missing the point. So let's look at this. $350 for a 900w vipar. I paid $450 for my xgs. $100 more. Yet if that light draws 900w at 12 cents a kilowatt and twelve hours a day with 710 difference that's a good $30 difference in cost each month in electricity for the same outcome just. Run the lights for afull year and your paying almost$400 more just to run the cheaper light. Even if it's 450W actual draw at the wall that's still going to cost $150 more to run than the more expensive light. The light pays for itself.
Firstly, read my last point. This is why I posted on this forum in the first place, to get this point across. If you're talking about my lights specifically then you need to have your facts straight. My light is 54W and cost $22 for two of them. This is why I am a strong advocate for the cheap lights. Is there quality issues? Fuck ya there is but I didn't get those issues. All I see is the visible proof that my plants are thriving more so then my previous grow. This means they are working better than the lights I used previously, just in case you didn't catch that. This also means that they WORK because my plant is actually growing under the light that is being provided.
As far as cost per month, you're talking $49/mnth or $583/yr for these babies. Yours cost you $450 and run at a cost of $65/mnth and $778/yr @300W pull. So you spent $1228 this year were I spent only $605.....Each additional year, if prices theoretically stayed the same, will cost you $173 more then me and further to my point, even if we stretched it to a ten year spread and I had to buy two new lights every year for the next ten years at the same price of $22 for two. And we assume you only need to by one replacement at $450. Even then you would spend $8680 to my $6050.
So I ask again, what are you trying to disprove???
