Nice and bushy! I bet it's cool watching the buds develop :)
Doing good,i just started my first ever grow, got 7 babies right now and yours is looking nice!!!
Thanks folks.

Had a wee issue sometime over the past couple of days where the plant decided to take a massive growth spurt and i'm guessing managed to get burnt on the lamp. I'm raging I missed it, but my new job has caused me to have less time managing the grow.

Hopefully it will be ok.

Here are some pics

You should be fine, the area that is burnt the worst, keep an eye out for bananas later in flowering. You're gonna have to check at least once a day, twice would be better - until they finish their stretch. If you don't, this will keep happening. They grow pretty damn fast, to double or triple their height in a short amount of time.

Yeh I know DoeEyed its a lot of hard work this stage isnt it. she is drinking 15 litre every two days so having to do nutrient changes every second day now too.

The problem I have is that we had a power cut and the timer was off for 3 hours so it now turns on and off at 11am and 11pm so I cant check it in the morning without letting ligt in so I only get to check it when I get home from work. She has tripled in size in the last two weeks already and I only have about another foot of space left between the lamp and the top of the plant. I can squeeze out another half a foot or so if necessary by removing the adjustable cords that hold the lamp and just hanging it directly from the top of the cupboard with chains.

I know I need to look for balls on the her but what do I do if I see them? Is that game over? Lights out as they say?

Can it go hermie on just one part of the plant and the rest stay female or is that a really silly question?

As usual DoeEyed thanks for the amazing advice. Your a star!

Peace

ok - set your timer back to the correct time again. Just be sure she gets extra darkness for the switch, not extra light, if you see what I mean. So - go ahead and turn it off tonight at the time you want, and set it to come on again in the morning - she'll be fine.
Yeah, they can take a lot of looking after - you oughta try caring for my garden for a week! lol If it hermies a little, not that big a deal - as long as you can keep any bananas picked off that you can find, she'll still produce some good bud. But you would have to keep watching - they grow back, and not always in the same place, lol. And yes - you can get a sack on just the badly damaged part, and nothing anywhere else.
If you do have a hermie, and you decide to keep it - make sure you wipe your room down with warm bleach water when it's done. Pollen sticks to everything - and if any get on your walls/equipment, it can ruin your next crop.

Thats great advice DoeEyed thanks.

It's quite difficult to see all of her at the moment too as she is so damn bushy and tightly packed together but I take her out every second day to change the res so I'll go over her with a fine tooth pick from now on and keep my eye open for those damn bananas lol

The next grow isnt a biggy as it will be done in a new house or possibly room if I cant get a new place and it will be in a brand new grow tent too.

Glad to hear its not a total waste of time if I does hermie a little, I assumed it was just a bin case if that happened.

Thanks again

No problem. People with more plants are more likely to toss a hermie, rather than risk seeding their entire crop. But yeah - unless you get one of those that starts sprouting balls like it's a male, you'll still get as much bud as a normal female - albeit with the possibility of a few seeds.

Hi Folks,

Sorry it's been a while since my last update but works been manic.

So there has been some major changes this week. My plant has taken a weird spurt of growth and thinned out a bit but the biggest change is it's starting to bud. Whoo hoo at last says me.

Anyways here are the pictures, sorry they are a little dark and blurry but I only just caught them as the light went off.

What do you think? Guess the big bud at the top is the main cola. Hopefully it starts to fatten up now.

Any tips from others using hydro of the best way to gain as much bud growth at this point? Additives or boosters that I could use?

Thanks for looking folks.

Here are some better pictures I took today when I was doing the nutrient change. These show off the buds more. I'm really happy with the progress now.

Here's my favourite

and here are the roots. Looking nice and healthy.

She looks beautiful - you're doig a great job! Looks like you burned her with the light? (From the other pics) Just going by how long it's taken her to really develop her young buds, I would say it's a sativa dominant plant, which means it's gonna take a long time to finish.

Thanks folks i've really enjoyed the experience so far.

DoeEyed I burnt it a few weeks back, was really angry with myself for letting this happen but she some how managed to take a massive growth burst over the space of one night and I missed it. What we talking till harvest time do you think? another month or two? or longer? Thats only been 4 weeks of flowering so far.

My best guess, would be another 8-10 weeks, still. Don't feel too badly about burning her - I've done it, lots of folks do it. It's one of those things almost everyone does, at least once.

Thanks DoeEyed as usual you make me feel better about my silly mistakes, your like my very own little mj councillor. :p

8-10 weeks wow, I think my next grow I'l need to give a strain a try that grows a little quicker lol. I'm not too fussed at the moment anyways as I'm enjoying growing and it will give me time o buy a grow tent an some other bits and bobs that I have my eye on for my next grow like a cool tube reflector.

The weather is great here again today, makes me want to grow outside :) however the weather reports did suggest it may snow over the weekend :( 20 degrees C on wednesday now snow over the weekend crazy Scottish weather.

Still it's very sunny and the dust cloud from the volcano doesn't seem to be effecting the weather ( all flights are still grounded though) and I don't start work till 1pm so i'm off out on my bike.

Hope you have a nice day :)

You're very welcome - I'm happy to help. Yep that is why I almost always grow Indica dominant plants, (except the occassional freebie, lol) I just don't have the patience to wait that long for it to finish! You have some time, choose yourself an Indica for your next grow. If you're sticking to one plant, don't be afraid to try feminized seeds - they are all I buy.

Due to work commitments I nearly killed my plant. I came home yesterday to the noise of a submersible pump not submersed. No good.

I opened the doors to find an extremely droopy plant being starved of water as the tank was dry.

I checked it the night before too and there was plenty in it but it was due a full change.

Anyways she has lost alot of leaf matter but the buds seem fine and the leafs that are left on look healthy enough.

Could the plant have shed these leafs by itself to help with flowering? There were alot of totally brown leafs on the bottom of the plant but these look like they have been there for a while and I just couldn't see them through the bushyness of the plant before it was starved.

Anyways here are a few pics, they aren't great as I just wanted to get her back into the nutrient solution as soon as I re-filled the tank.
