there is a building momentum to establish a original hippie smoker's club - a time when - there were no grinders, there were no vaporizers, there was no sensimilla, there were no indoor grows, there WAS peace, love and very groovy times...oh my chrissakes....I can't believe I said that! Just tell it like it is, man! This was a global phenom. It was the psychadelic era, the years of experimentation, copious dosages of LSD, and free wheeling cannabis....weed.....the wonderful weed from outdoor grows that kicked your ass into another dimension! these times influenced fashion, music, movies, culture and set the tone for a whole generation.

THE MUSIC - the Mamas and the Papas, HAIR - the musical, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers.......

THE MOVIES - Easy Rider, The Graduate, West Side Story, Midnight Cowboy, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.

I wasnt around but I can definitely see how and why it would have and most likely did.

The hippie's didn't die. The turning point was a rolling stones concert. They hired the Hells Angels For their security force. A spectator pulled a gun and shot one of the Hells Angels. He is dead of course. The man charged with his 'murder' was acquitted. Neither the Hppies or the Hells Angels fully recovered from it, the Stone's seemed to do alright though. VV

I could finally drive around listening to Moby Grape and Iron Butterfly!
Four finger lids....filled with seeds.
It was a world without AIDS and political correctness.

Bull shit. That event did NOT initiate the decreasing popularity of the hippy culture. If anything it was Charles Manson man..

Maybe these negative cultural events cumulated to the point that people realized the summer of love as over...

but....

Truth is it was a FAD, a great one at that, but none the less a fad..
Phases, fads w/e you wanna call them all come and go. Some demand rememberance, especially with people who like to live in the past.

I've had enough life experience to tell me even the greatest, strongest things can be broken.. and you cant swell on shit or you'll end up a fucking drugged out hippy STILL and in your 70s addicted to heavy drugs.. homeless.

I see it all the time in San Francisco..
