That's for purpose of sale in Commiefornia. Everything causes cancer to them.
All walnuts have it. Black walnut just has the highest concentrations. I don't even know if the shells contain enough to cause any problems but why take the chance? They're also expensive if your goal is to add something to loosen up the soil.

I'm wondering if they've ever been to California. I have many times and I don't remember any commies. It's not as great as Oregon but it's still a great state. For that matter the entire west coast rocks. I love it here.
