Ideally? Some rain water with a ph of 6.5. If you are just winging it and your plants are looking good then I would spray them with whatever water you are using to water them.

Why do you want to spray them?

Ummmm. Yea spraying your plants isn't necessary unless you have some specific reason to (i.e. nute deficiency or wilted plants or something). Also, never do it during flowering (unless you have some SERIOUS problem) because it can make the buds rot.

Unless I have a problem I don't do it. I worry that spraying makes the roots get lazy. Probably won't hurt though, in nature they get plenty damp from the dew and rain.

Spray away during veg!

i dont belive the bud rot think, as i mist , or spray heavely even tru flower and have had no bd rot. and that is city water right out of tap. ijust pulled a 5 oz off 1 plant

That's why I said "can" instead of "will." Of course there are tons of people who spray and never get mold. But there are also people who definitely have had that problem. It depends on the other conditions of your grow room as well- mainly humidity. If you already have high humidity and then you spray then that can lead to disaster. Spraying can be used well during flowering, but it's not necessary for the plant and it does increase the risk of bud rot, so for most people: why bother? That being said, nice job on the 5 ouncer.
