It's been getting in the 40's at night here, my light keeps my room above 70, but I noticed the water felt really cold. I checked the water temp and it was 61 degrees. What should water temp be?

68 is ideal get a small water heater and your plants will grow faster

Sounds like, with that air temp, you could lower your light a bit more onto the plant(s). What type light aRE

With those types of outside temps, it sounds like you could lower your lights onto your plants a bit more. As for your H2O temp, your local pet store has water heaters for fishtanks. They are about the size of a dildo, and you stick the bottom half into your resevoir. They cost about 20 bucks.

I saw that heater at wally world...My reservoir is rubbermaid I guess a heater would be ok?

none of the heaters will hurt the tub.

if you are having problems with water temp changing a lot, check petmountain.com for good deals on water chillers. Even the cheap ones have plug in control of heater elements. They will cool when needed, heat when needed, and keep your res at the perfect temp - one less thing to worry about.
