watering question

yes im a noob ,
my question is , when i water my plant and the water drains to the pan at the bottom ,, should i let it sit there for a little while or just dump it out right away. Im thinking my plants are not getting there nutes that there just draining away ? See my pots drain very good and fast ,, but i think all my nutes are just going down the drain

Dont let them sit in the waste..

if ur soil is very dry ....water little bit at first to get the soil to soak up the rest of the water if it is just runnig down the sides.
