Anyone out there wanna put there 2cents in on wat trim style they prefer. Easier to trim an bag for hash while still wet for hash making or let them dry first

I've notice alot of people still doing wet trim even though dry trim is recommended for best flavor and smell. Is there something special about wet trimming that I'm missing?

I prefer wet trimming end product looks better.its a myth to me that dry trim is better for flavour. It's all about how long it takes to dry, the longer it takes the better itl be wether dry or wet trimming. Just happens that dry trim takes longer as there's more leaf mass to dry whereas wet trim will fry faster as you've chopped a lot off but you can slow the drying down if you want to compensate.really the difference is very small imv

i trimmed wet for 10 years and now dry for 10 years. I prefer dry trimming. Its just easier in my experience. I do a double trim really, one when i knock plant down and remove all leafs that have no trichomes while wet. Then i dry for 7 days on average and do final trim then. I rotate 4 pairs of fiskas in alcohol constantly to keep things as fast as possible and use a nice size plastic bin to catch all trichomes and sugar leaf for rosin.

Wet Trimming you are going to end up with a weird wet grass taste & smell as the above poster mentioned. I've learned this from SEVERAL harvests. The absolute best thing you can do is let the plants hang upside down after chopping branch by branch from string in a room with good circulation and moderate 50-55% humidity and then trim once the stems snap. Throw the plants into a jar after trimming and begin the curing process. For more information on that browse the forum.

I don't have 2 decades of experience but for me wet trimming I always end up with lawn grass smelling weed and dry trim I end up with fruity and aromatic marijuana. idk how you old timers do it.

The hay smell I only ever had when iv chopped a bit too early with a bit too high temps.it usually passes after the drying process and a cure

For me its all about speed really. I get same end product no matter which way i trim. When i trim usually its about 7-8oz per plant and takes on average 1 hour which is perfect for me. Wet trimming took longer all in one stage compared to 2 stage i do now with wet knock down trim followed by dry finish trim.

I was wondering why I had that smell/taste when I trim heavy when wet. (Its what friends said to do). So I'm going to do more trimming dry and see what happens.
