This is ridiculous and exactly why the drug war is a abysmal failure.
These two people are charged with Drug Trafficking for growing 1 plant for personal use in their back yard. 10 years in prison??? Who has been hurt by their "crime?" Who benefits by them being locked away from society? How many dollars will their arrest, prosecution, and incarceration cost the state?
This is a COMPLETE waste of law enforcement and judicial resources.

The government brought this battle upon themselves. Nobody turned these people in - nobody reported them - undercovers didn't catch them. These people were minding their business and they flew over their property and saw 1 plant growing and decided to arrest them.
Now they have spent thousands of dollars feeding / housing / prosecuting these people that had no negative impact on society.
