Miracle Grow does "Miracles" as it suggest and who's not reading the instructions it clearly states that u have to use half of the dosage which seems like a small amount but it goes along way so in short your right my man people are stupid its like blaming tha air....what a riot these guys are
this thread is for all the people who uses MG and don't get their panties all up in a bunch.... instead of hearing,

waaaah waahhhh.... my plant burn.... i hate you MG....wahhhhh wahhhh

ummmmm, how about not overwatering (prevents burning... and why the hell are you overwatering anyway... stop babysitting your plant)
oh, how about not adding more nutes to something that ALREADY has nutes? (damn....how much do YOU eat? greedy bastards)
how about this one...buying soil just to pick out all the white stuff out of it, DOESN'T make sense.... (do you date girls that you have to makeover? i didn't think so)
PH problems? don't blame MG (PH stands for playa hater...thats right...MG has a playa hater problem...haha....stop hating all you big face bastards)

bottom line... MG doens't suck... you do...haha...

sorry...had to say this... getting tired of people on here "swearing on their lives" not to use the stuff....

people CAN and ARE ABLE TO grow with the damn thing...so please... stop given out bs... people come here for help and guidance... i understand everyone has things they like and are good suggestions/alternatives... but when i see a something like...

Newbie: i have miracle grow, 2 cfl's up my butt blah blah blah
response: don't use MG... i "HEARD" and "READ" not to use it... (stfu with the he say, she say crap... i know i'm rude..sorry)

or the other typical response: don't use it... MG burns and blah blah blah

i truly believe, if you can grow in MG... you were doing the right thing, which is basic gardening and following directions...which means you are able to adjust if you choose a different soil later on... you also know how to treat the plant and what to look for...

this excludes experience growers (unless you have beef with MG... well then...welcome, come on in, i would like to introduce you to my foot) haha.. i love this site

I've only used the moisture control. Worked splendid for me. Added a bunch of perlite (NO vermiculite) and some lime to tweak the pH. Vegged in it, then x-planted into fresh for flowering. Actually just cut the bottom off the grow bag and placed on top of a 4 gal bucket. The N in the nutes isn't bad for flowering, just can make a bit harsh of a taste, so they say. I never noticed it

i use straight water for the first serveral weeks. you'll notice the leaves start to yellow when it's time to feed.

hey, would this be an example of that what you call " yellowing " but it's only the top so I don't think it's related, i think it was just nuteburn from over watering.. it's mentions on the bag is had enougn nutes for 3 moths (using potting mix + perlite), i have only been growing for 7 week :D and transplanted into new soil 4 week in, also picture related and maybe you know what the couse of this + cure? thank you.

I've used MG because it's available anywhere. I have to drive several extra miles thru city traffiic to get that fancy stuff. Miracle Gro's good enough for SkidMark.

I'd say burn. Yellowing from lack of N is more uniform.
Let the soil basically dry out. just one time, let it get dry enough that the leaves start to wilt. Then before watering, lift the pot and feel its dry weight. Then water and only water when the pot gets light again.
In 4 gallon pots I was watering once a week.

I know this is an old post, but I just dug 4 huge ass holes. I'm using fdd's mix of reg. m gro, perlite, fox farm ocean forest, and m gro organic garden soil for 3.(might substitute ffof with kellogg patio plus) Guess I'll try the moisture control + perlite in the other. I'll veggie in 3 gallons, and then transplant to the holes full of fresh soil. Hope it works out. Cant wait until March.(I like to start early)fimm the hell out of them bitches. lol. Btw, thanks big bud balls. I was wondering what I'd use for the final hole.

I swear by the MG for tomatos for my girls. I use it, I like it, I get good results from it. It's cheap, available every where, and it works. :)

the thing that i have learned from growing with miracle grow and now switching over to RO is that miracle is heavy in the N department... all m previous plants have a abundance of N.. hence why the leaves are VERY DARK GREEN.... other then that... the grows always went as well as they could.... there are much better soils to use.. but MG will do the job.. and is very cheap and EASY AS SHIT to find...

I used MG for my two girls outdoors last year...one of them absolutely thrived and grew huge colas but the other plant got burnt to shit.

Maybe it works better for certain strains.

I've converted to Hempy Buckets now :hump:

I don't use Miracle Grow but I do believe it's possible to grow good weed with it as I've smoked some grown in MG.

Anyone ever used last years miracle gro soil as starter soil the following year? Might try it next year. Holes and buckets still full, and I'm cheap. lol

You used the soil, or the nutrients? If you used the soil, you really dont need to feed them, but maybe once or twice during flowering. I learned the hard way.
