I agree. I didn’t come here stating anything as fact. I said as far as I understand . I heard Guru talking about it on DGC sometime last week during a drying/curing topic . He seems very knowledgable , so I was trying to find some other opinions on the matter to back up his claim. No case study’s though, as almost with anything to do with marijuana cultivation lol. As far as 11 years goes, I been growing for 28, and everyday there’s still new things to be learned

My biggest thing was how time consuming wet trimming use to be for me.
It almost seems too easy now
1. Pull fans off by hand almost as fast as I can.
2.Hang plants upside down separating a few branches at a time.
Turn my wall spit to 65deg and my humidistat to 60%.
3. Turn off the lights shut the door. Check everyday buts it's always 17 days and I just trim the whole bud and surrounding sugar into glass.
4. Burp everday(15mins max) 2 to 3x
5. In 6weeks of being in the jars it's ready. ( sugar) leaf falls off easy and fast.
May seem like alot of steps but from my past and wet trimming. This is just too easy and the meds smell and taste like candy.

Between regular botany, and having legal states the last 20 years, they have had university studies on a lot.
Can you atleast link this guru who said that? I would like to look into him

found dry trimming the least laborious.
hang plants till dry
strip into a big box
leave till brittle dry then toss buds gently brushing with cupped hands, sort of like making pastry.
once cleaned down enough, take out a handfull ish at a time and sort it excess leaf can be broke of with back of scissors.
Found sorting direct from the pile ends up fuddling the brain and you end up picking and flicking bits back rather than sorting it out.
Happy with the trim it gives me.

Well if that was true we would have a lot less variables now a days . The studies are generally very skewed. Seeing how cannabis is constantly being manipulated and inbred, things are constantly evolving. Botany on the other hand is a much broader subject and easier to find conclusive evidence. On YT, there is DudeGrowCrew show (DGC). He is not a host, but more of their tech guy . But he joins in on all the discussions though. He’s more knowledgable than the hosts for sure lol. When I have some time I’ll try to find it, don’t feel like rewatching a bunch of hour long episodes tho sorry .

I know a guy who caught AIDS from smoking wet trimmed weed.
I've tweaked my method now after countless crops and countless tedious hours to something that I don't dread!
I harvest over 1 week, leaving the grow going until the last branches are removed.
In the weeks leading up to harvest I remove any leaves that are looking old, or, just too cramped. I thin the crop out quite a chunk.
Then in the week before harvest I remove any remaining fan leaves.
Then I switch to fresh water a few days before harvest week (NFT)
Harvest week:
Day 1 - I cut the fattest "orangiest" buds when they are ready.
Rip off and bin any remaining leaves - they come off easiest on a fresh plant.
Scissor trim the buds leaving them on their branch.
chuck them on one level of my multi level hanging airing net/rack thingy.
Day 2 repeat with more biggies.
Then prob 2 more sessions and it's done, leaving the rag-tag smaller stuff to the end and it gets a much rougher trim.
Each rack level has a different stage of dryness to it, but it really doesn't matter as they all reach jar-readyness around the same time, and a few extra days for the driest (waiting for the newest to catch up) makes virtually no difference.
Finally, the buds snap super easily off the branches for putting in jars.
This has a number of advantages over other methods for me, and trust me , i've tried all sorts as I really, really didn't enjoy it before. And I'm talking about 5 plants here - 15+ ounces - so not that much compared to some!
- spread over 1 hour ish ish sessions over several nights - you get a break and the monotony doesn't stretch to getting sloppy.
- very neat big buds - my trimming machine is not as good at hand trimming
- much less wasteful than machine trimming (I did this up until recently but the amount of trim was getting insane - how many flapjacks can you make!?!)
- buds get to dry on-branch - which seems to give good even drying and they stink proper good before they even get near the curing jar.
- buds are super easy to remove from branches once dry.
- roughly trimmed smaller stuff gets vaped by my other half for medicinal reasons (yes, really!) so she doesn't care how leafy/rough it is.
- each days' work is a bit different - and variety is key! Day 1 and two are big buds. Fun! Day 3 will be the medium stuff, and then day 4 will be the popcorn. Being able to say "fuck it - I'm done!", and walk away is a great part of this sytem
This way, I don't mind harvest time. And I'm not losing production cycle time as the next lot are in a seperate tank ready to move across when I am.
It works well for me.
