Some companies are using this to purge their email subscription list. If you get notifications that you want to keep, make sure you read the email they send you. They may want you to re-subscribe.
Also be aware of the sudden increase in scam and phishing emails thanks to the incoming GDPR, I've had an increase in the usual ones like banks I don't deal with, orders from the Apple Store, and so on as parasites try to take advantage of the confusion created by the introduction and warnings over GDPR.

I was asking the same thing yesterday. I was wondering if it has to do with the "binding arbitration" ruling that was just handed down by the SC. Everyone changing thier policy to say you have to go through thier arbitration rather than courts.
