what air conditioner do you use

i am looking for an air conditioner and was wondering what everyone else is running with their set up. im looking at either

im growing a cge and i think the soleus is more air tight because it has two motors one for the air and one for the equipment
thanks guys hoping to hear some good reviews on an air conditioners

go ductless/minisplit and you will avoid all kinds of issues.
do a search on google,get a 115 volt unit that comes with everything included,it comes pre charged and can be hooked up in about an hour

i would like to heat with it too, but im finding some that say they cant operate below 17 degrees ferinheight in michigan its gets below 0 so im stuck any help work be appreciated thanks

I just use a normal window unit. I think it is like 1500 btu or so but don't remember for sure but it works like a champ.

its 695 U.S. with s&h everythings included its 9,000btu cooling 11,000btu heating with dehumidifier i got this one becuase it can be ran in temps down to 5 degrees in cooling mode and -4 in heating i talked to the guy at pridiom (the manufacturer) and told him i live in michigan and wondered if i could put the outdoor unit in a dog house during winter to keep it from going below 5 degrees ferinheight and he said its ok so i ordered one.

I have been struggling with the same dilemma. I have talked with a lot of people about this and know one can seem to get there head around the fact that I don't want any exchange of air between the outside and the inside of the grow room. I talked with a guy from National garden Wholsale about it and he told me the one they sell for about 500 with the two ducts exchanges air, and will not work well at all if you dont duck it to an outside source. He said I needed the $2300 comercial unit it does not mix air. I also talked with a couple major AC wholesalers and they said air exchange happens with window mounts and wall mounts.

I like the looks of the mini splits.

I own an a/c company also and installed these for years in server rooms, it is the best way to go.

some friedrich window ac's have an option to turn the outside air exchange off. mini splits are the way to go but if your staying on the cheap you can get a 10k btu window that doesnt exchange air (ie co2 users) for like 400 bucks.

If it was me buying one Id go with the one you have from the garbcart.com site, since it does cooling, heating and its a dehumidifier all in one. I think a dehumidifier is a must for any serious grow operation: They can take the humidity out of your room when it gets to high & do it quickly and you can also use the water collected from it.

wouldn't recommend using the water, it runs off a aluminum coil and also will eventually have bacteria growing in the drain and drainline.

Mitsubishi makes the best mini split ductless AC systems available. Their inverter is ridiculously efficient. I have a 9000 btu (qualifies for $1500 economic stimulus tax credit also) mitsubishi ductless mini split heat pump that is awesome. I love it. Totally quiet. Cheap as hell because its 26 seer. WTF? Seriously.

they are the best and the most expensive, most people don't understand what a S.E.E.R is, so here you go.
it stands for seasonal energy efficiency rating, and the higher the seer,the more efficient it is.
other companies offer higher seer units,mine is a 17 and it's a Dyken. how it works in laymens terms
if you ran a 13 s.e.e.r unit and a 26 s.e.e.r side by side for a month, and the 13 s.e.e.r cost $100 for that month, the 26 s.e.e.r would be around $20-$25, so in a few years of saving money every month, the higher seer pays for itself,if used long enough.
