What are the best nutrients to use

Hi all newbe here just a little bit of advice needed what are the best nutreints on the market at moment i am using a 48 pot iws system have allways used canna A and B with pk14 as my boost i am getting good results but sure i could do better. Any ideas or advice

just go with a good brand you can do good with all the popular brands

That's a personal decision, what works best for you even cost can be the reason or availability

In the uk its gotta be canna and hose an garden pish to grow with na probs !!

cost is a factor for most people, like it is for me. no one wants to spend more money than they have to to get quality nutrients. that being said stay away from advanced nutrients, their whole lineup costs $300+, some of their addon nutes like "B-52" are nutrients that aren't even needed by the plant because it produces vitamin B naturally and yet it costs $49.95/qt. in some grow stores.

I used advanced nutrients early on and was impressed no doubt, my friend uses it religously and has all the additives and the full lineup. I used it for a while but when I had to go buy my own I got sticker shock. Some research on these forums lead me to DynaGro which is endorsed by millions of growers worldwide and has been around for decades in the botany industry. The best part is you can get a full nute line for 5-6 grows or more for under $80. has all the macro and micro nutrients the advanced nutrients line has but without the price and a whole lot less bottles to mix. check out youtube videos on AN vs DG grow-offs and you will see in every single one the DG nutes win by volume. I've done the test myself and am now a believer, DG all the way!

Honestly if you can grow the plant, the brand of nutrients doesn't matter. You can get amazing crops with just miracle grow soil and miracle grow fertilizer. You can get fox farms trio and still mess your plants up by giving them to much or to little.

i used bio biz until recently, great value . i now switched to hesi as thats great value too

I like organic personally, I AM USING GENERAL ORGANIC LINE BUT WILL TRY CANNAS VEGANIC NUTES NEXT...THERE IS REALLY NO BEST TITLE FOR NUTES IT IS ALL ABOUT RESEARCH AND TESTING FOR YOURSELF YOU MAY COME UP WITH YOUR OWN FEEDING PLAN USING DIFFERENT ITEMS BUT LESS IS ALWAYS BETTER! IMO!

just pick a line and learn it. Fox farms is supposed to be good and reasonably priced. I started with General Hydroponics floranova line and have used it ever since... adding new additives from general hydroponics/organics to my arsenal over time.

wow thanks for all your replies i take it as horses for courses on the nutes just want to try and maximise my yeild fed up with living in this god forsaken country (uk) make sum quick £ and get the F@@@ OTTA HERE to warmer and drier climates so any ideas on how to maximise my yeild using 48 pot iws system using canna a and b with pk 14 as my boost

I could never understand all these extra super dooper nutes and additives. to me a plant will grow it's best on it's own, adding all these extras seems to cause more problems them not. I use Gen Hyro 3 part flora series and have good results, it's also farely cheep.

They are all real good choices. Rather than worry about what people are using try a couple out and use the brand you are most comfortable with.

There is no best! any quality company's have good product's it's what work's for you! some people need one fertilizer and there are plenty out there weather hydro or soiless..soil..I use fox farm and can attest to the result's!! see pic's currant grow..make sure you know what your mixing i.e. ppm meter and ph meter don't guess! I don't believe there is only one "best"........
There may be one better for each individual, for each application or situation, but not "one best" for everything.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Technaflora line. Using the recipe for success is quite honestly a recipe for success. Though, I mix and match different nutes. Really good product line and pretty inexpensive.

I'm tryin organic now for a few plants but I have had wonderful results with Better-Gro Orchid Plus and Better-Gro Orchid Bloom Booster. It's available locally has micros and is inexpensive.

i rate house & garden a&b in coco premium soil and it dont cost the earth
