What are you watching?

:( Man, this is scary as shit. Everyone living in the "relative" safety from firestorms in the Midwest and East should watch. Several RIU'ers lived thru this.
That movie sucked.
But def worth watching.
I recognized a few people in it. That “Woody” guy who had the first house rebuilt, I’ve ran into him quite a few times. Cool dude. The builder was my neighbor. Ran into that cop quite a few times too, can’t really say the same about him, but I do feel sorry for him too.
There’s a scene where he(the cop)was driving and took a turn right where I thought I was gonna die. Right in front of that fire station. Was stuck there for a long ass time as the glow was getting closer and closer. Was pitch black but thick ass smoke with like 10” glowing embers coming at us by then. Transformers, or propane tanks, probably transformers were blowing up like right next to us it seemed. Holy shit why did I view this thread

I know someone who usually has an up close view of this guys’/family's cattle this time of year. There’s only like 40 of them now. I heard he lost 400 from this last fire that pretty much wiped another town away in butte county. Some fucked up shit going on.

sorry it’s not a video :-(

I guaranfucking tee you this guy is most likely a republican. Not a diss, but here’s a small excerpt from that article that hopefully isn’t TLDR
“For those of you on the right who want to blame the left and California, these are National Forest lands that are “managed” by the feds. They have failed miserably over the past 50 years. Smokey the Bear was the cruelest joke ever played on the western landscape, a decades long campaign to prevent forest fires has resulted in megafires of a scope we’ve never seen. Thanks, Smokey.”

57% of the forest in California is owned by the federal government and the state has 3%. Sierra Pacific owns all the land around Paradise, and they sure as hell aren't "wasting" money brushing out that land to keep fires from spreading.
