What Are Your Views On Growing Illegally For Person Use ?

just wondering what are your views on growing illegal for personal use.
do you think theres a major difference between the personal use and making profits or do you think as long as its illegal it shouldnt be grown.

i personally want to grow but not sure if its realy worth the risk.

Unless you got a few K watts and cant keep your mouth shut and don't put any effort into security/stealth you have little to no risk.

If your just growing for personal you'll be fine, don't brag and don't go too big

well if i do its only like one or two plants anyway in a small wardrobe so im sure it will be ok.
only one red and blue light 2700k and 6500k and maybe a fan or two
not planning on building a factory

I'm not a mod/admin but if you're asking about RIU's policy on illegally growing, I'm guessing that's a no.
They can't condone illegal actions.

The simple rule I use: always be prepared to walk away.
I'm not gonna invest any more $$ than I can throw away...which means that I take what I would have spent on weed and go to the garden center with it.

so basically just spend what i can afford to possibly lose ?
if so then yeah i know what your saying, losing money is maybe second or third after getting into trouble with the law.

Well, it's not really about the money itself.
If I've got a few $k invested in gear, I'm going to be less likely to walk away at the first hint of someone sniffing around.
It's about being willing to split at the first sign that Johnny Law knows what I'm up to.

It's ALL about not getting caught - everything else is a distant second.

You'd be very safe to grow for personal use. Keep your plant numbers low and veg a long time for maximum yield to minimize any legal repercussions, and just be smart about your grow.

The vast majority of busts are made off snitches from sales gone wrong. Somewhere along the food chain, some idiot gets tagged by the police and trade information to get off with community service. The growers usually get busted either selling to a dealer or after their buyer (the dealer) gets busted and the buyer cuts a deal. The problem is that the dealer often gets to sell out the grower for a shorter sentence, but the grower is given the same charges plus cultivation and has nobody to sell out to the cops. That said, there's typically more money in growing than in dealing.

Growing for personal use is cool in my book... How the fuck is someone gonna tell you what kind of plants u can grow for yourself?
If your not selling, don't worry. If your scared of the law then don't grow. If u wanna grow, grow smart. Invest in security first then start buying the other crap.

make it as stealthy as possible and dont tell anyone ..........or just move to a good state where you can grow it legaly........for real poeple i dont understand how you guys can grow and smoke but not just move to a legal state..If i wasnt in cali that would be my first priorty MOVE TO A GOOD STATE!! and if you think your state is a good state then ask this.......is it legal to grow in your state? no? then its not a good state sorry.......

well, its not so simple to pick up and move your entire life to a good state imho.. kids, jobs, a shitty housing market and lack of jobs all make it very difficult to just pick up and move to a good state..

Personally I Would make it as legal as possible because a tickets a ticket. Also where you live Ca yes, Texas noo!! Also bigger plants and few as possible. Veg big use good lights wispy plants aren't worth jail. I saw an indoor uk grow 1 plant 3.5lbs I believe 1800w!

I used to live in a non-medical state, and I'm not saying I grew illegally, BUT from what I've see this is sound advice. Set up a $1500USD 1200 watt set-up or so, and just grow your brains out, use something like drip that can broken down in less than an hour. If I were in a non medical state I'd make carbon scrubbers my biggest expense, followed by fans. Getting the odor completely under control will save your sanity. Believe me you don't want to be that guy freaking out right before harvest cuz you can smell your grow in the driveway. It's scary as hell, or so I hear ; - ) Also if i had a girlfriend o anything less than 7 years I wouldn't even try it with them in the house. Wife? Maybe. That's my rule of thumb. What happens is that people don;t bust you intentionally. They will be hanging out and bragging to others about how their "buddy" grows all this kind buds. People love to tell everyone they "know someone" That's how people get busted, their friends many times unintentionally get them caught.

I personally see nothing wrong in growing cannabis for personal use. It's just a plant. You can have a very successful micro-grow going for years without ever raising suspicion from anyone. There are just a few simple rules that you absolutely must follow without exception. Don't Tell, Don't Smell and Don't Sell. You must also be careful with how you discard your trash and how you aquire your equipment and supplies. Be discrete. Good Luck!
