What dehumidifier to get?

I live in an apartment. There is no bathroom fan. A whole family worth of showers goes on every day. I live where it is well below zero farenheit in the winter with the windows frozen shut. I have one 27"x27" and one 36"x36" grow tent in my bedroom. I haven't started running the 3x3 yet but have struggled through summer and fall to even keep it under 60% humidity in the 27"x27" tent (with the exhaust fan running 100%, a clip on fan above the canopy, and a fan below the canopy).

I am a budget grower and don't want to spend a ton on a dehumidifier. What would be the most economical option.

1. Dehumidify the bathroom with a small ~200 sq foot unit like so...

2. Dehumidify the room containing the tents with a 500 sq foot unit like so....

3. Dehumidify the tents individually with ..... ?

I have about $100 I would like to use for this project. Maybe a 500 sq foot unit in the bathroom and also one in the grow tent room also could be good?

Side note, I can pick up a clone of the 200 sq foot unit (Eva-Dry) brand from my local hardware store. The 500 sq foot unit I posted costs about the same as the 200 sq foot units. I saw a 1,500 square foot unit for a little over a hundred the other day, I should have picked that one up and been done with it. lol

If you have good air movement in there, you should be fine even with higher humidity. My tiny tent hits 80% at lights out sometimes, and have never had a mold or rot problem.. I know the potential is there, but what can you do.
In late flower the plants dont seem to produce as much and the levels come down quite a bit

My first grow is finishing up now and I've been terrified of wpm, mold, and bud rot with the humidity. :) I think once winter really hits and we can't open the windows to air it out, and everyone is tracking in snow it will get really bad.

You must be in a different environment. Humidity here in the winter is near 0 indoors.
I dont bother trying to grow indoors in the summer, because of the high humidity

Interesting stuff! Maybe I won't need one then, I'm new at growing and haven't monitored the humidity in my apartment before. 57% in the tent right now, 93 % outside and has been snowing. Maybe once it really gets cold that will change.

I live in Eastern Canada and my house is the driest in winter. I still run dehumidifiers in my grow to keep the RH around 50% in flower. Veg I don’t really need them but flower needs to be 50-60 so the plants don’t get molds or mildews and they transpire a lot when they’re popping in flower, so that moisture has to go. I really like the Noma line of dehumidifiers, they’re just regular household ones. Don’t buy two crappy ones, buy one good one, but remember that they throw heat too. Not bad in winter, but you probably won’t get away with running it in your tent unless the dehumid is small.
It’s worth it to try it without one first though. If you’re heating the room it might dry the air enough.

If you can afford it, get the drain hose option. I am looking also, my concern is keeping watts on lower side.

Some have shitty LEDs for night, disable. Some won't turn back on after power outage.
Eva-dry don't seem too bad. Use to be available at costco.

Amabozon.. search donatello dehumidifier $90
