To connect everything to ensure a proper seal?

Im using 3/4" PVC and have my pumps and everything but have a big problem. How do I make the proper size hole and seal in each tote for the PVC so I have NO leaks.

I built one system and and it leaked everywhere. I couldnt find what I thought I needed and tried to do what I could with what I had, it failed.

I know I see people using uniseals and all that good stuff but I am looking for stuff I can find at my local hardware store.

How do I properly drill the right size hole in my tubs and fit the correct fittings for my PVC to go into?

Thank you in advance for the help!

you need a pvc compression bulkhead fitting type deal... glue pvc in one side and threaded nut with gasket on the other side. looks like this... that's what I would try anyway... I tried uniseals before and they leaked everywhere.

No pipes to run, nothing to cut, no water pump, no leaks. Just water, nutes, lots of air, and ure making magic.

I know not really giving you an answer. If u want to still connect them, u need a drill, a hole saw drill bit, and i would use aquarium silicone caulk to seal i hear its safe for water. Not supposed to have all the chemicals regular caulking has.

i would use silicon that is aquarium safe. then you know it doesnt leach into the water. But that shit takes forever to dry and stinks like hell until it does.
Honestly if you have to silicon anything in your room you are doing it wrong. that shit will always end up leaking.
do it right. get bulkheads made for the job.
Uniseals are shit as well. especially on round buckets.
