just curious, prefer not to go the RO approach and enjoy just filling my reservoir with a garden hose. my water is about a pH of 7.5 and TDS of 130ppm. I've been using a hose carbon filter and have respectfully gotten tds down to around 80-100 ppm. Just curious if I'm the only one using tap water for reservoir water?

im in Massachusetts. Relatively good water for tap. The filters take out the chlorine and chloramine but I still get stressed out sometimes when my ppm is to high. Was curious what everyone elses hose is spitting out to safely grow some grade A cannabis?

yes, im verry verry lucky in the water department. its sad that so many growers have problems with chloramine in the tap water, takes forever to get the stuff out, not like chlorine thats out in 12 hrs good luck with it. im sure you will get more replys soon

EC 0,55 pH 7,48 and they said we have one the best quality drink water in the whole world. They wrote an arcticle where claimed that the water is purified so there is no need for adding neither chlorine nor chloramine to it. Do not know if this is true, but noticed any diference between leaving the water sit for 24hrs and giving then a nice shower straight from tap. I think there is no need to use RO untill it causes huge issues like lockouts or burns. There are problems like buffer capacity of RO water is shit and after adding nuts your pH is in hell (for soil) and you need to add pH up in quite big doses so it again raises your EC and have not spoken about calmag yet. You need to look at your water after adding your feed and other stuff, because there are a lot of chemical reactions and other things only God knows. And if you are in range and your plants go well, than you have water good enough. You can drink it, so your plants...

My tap water doesnt even register on a bluelab truncheon. I used to have a different TDS meter a while back and it read under 30ppm
