What does "gr/m2" Mean?

I have never understood this?

When buying seeds it says "Yield : 500 gr/m2"
What does the gr stand from, Grams? and what does it mean by m2

it stands for gram per meter square of growing space.. i find that these estimates are so full of crap, that i don't usually pay attention to them.. i mean honestly, how the hell do i tell how much a meter square of a plant is? i understand what a meter square is, its a lil over a 3x3 area, but still, i think that explanation is kinda the wrong way to tell one how much a plant will yeild imho..

Not exactly. You are mostly right, however, technically, it means the number of grams harvested from a square meter in a sea of green grow. That basically means a single plant in a 6 inch square pot times 36. 36 colas in a 3' x 3' grow area = gr/m2

How much space is inbetween each pot?

Thats the way I always understood it plus this is under a 1k light from what I hear tell

... and even if you don't achieve the estimated yield, the estimates are good to compare expected yields from different strains which may help you decide which strain to invest in.

Exactly, it refers mostly to Sea Of Green growing

None. In a SOG grow, the idea is to grow many plants in a tight space. You don't have to veg long and the harvest can be spectacular. However, this method requires a good cloning set up to keep it going or a shit load of seeds.
