What does it mean when this happens...

Hey everybody, I'm about 3 weeks into flowering now, and for the past month and a half or so some weird stuff has been happening to my plants. The lower leaves get yellow, like nitrogen deficiency, but then if I touch or move the stem a little bit it just falls off. I read that K deficiency can make the stems weak, and some of the stems are definitely red/purple. I added some N to the plants a couple weeks ago and the branches stopped falling off as much, but I'm kinda nervous about adding more during flowering, cus I thought u werent' supposed to do that. And does anyone know a good organic source of K? I tried gettin potash at lowe's but they don't have it. Thanks for the help!

Did you read about what happens to the leaves when the plants are flowering? I think you have to feed them differently during that time, too.

plants in flowering especially during the first half still need a good amount of N to keep up with the stretch, they just need more P to induce the flowering, after the stretch has stopped then you can back off the N a bit more, and up the P a bit more at the same time. had the same problem my first go around added more N and things got back on track.

awesome thanks. A couple more questions, too. Is it cool to spray the leaves during flowering or can that cause mold on the buds? And when would you say the beginning of my flowering period was? I had the lights at 24/0 and then i started setting them back by 2 hours every day untl i got to 12/12, so would u say it started the first day i started setting the timer back, or the first day the lights were at 12/12? cus thats about a week's difference... Thanks again.

you probably started flowering about a week or two before you started to see the pistils forming, most people i talk too try and avoid spraying/foliar feeding during flowering unless its absolutly nessesary, like a bug problem or seriouse plant growth issues.
