What exactly is flushing?

What you need to do is change your feeding schedule to strictly water. I have found that once my trichs start turning cloudy, it gives me a big enough window to stop nutes. The window is different on every strain so good luck. Flushing is part of my watering schedule. Ill flood em consistently to keep any build ups from lingering in my perelite soil mix.

dude your a jerkoff.If you had really been growing 9 yrs. you would have known there are many different ways to flush.Now i understand why it took you three years to have a good grow,can you guess what it is?I doubt it so here it is ...Your Stupid.Lock out 10 days before harvest.Thats funny.

It has been documented sugar enrichment during the flowering phase can increase the yield per bud up to 20% in ideal conditions.

I used to own one of his books and it helped a lot with loops of info. So did Rosenthol's book. I like High Times a lot too. I dig the photos and the recipes. They do have some wicked info and some expiremental stuff. Overall I find High Times to be enlightening - although I have not picked one up in about 6 years so....oh well.

Yes. I think especially for hydro because it can be real harsh if you do not clean out the system. You are basically feeding the plant straight up nutes so you definitely want to clear that out or you will be smoking it or eating it. YUM. LOL

Each and every human is a product of a lesson learned by a teacher. How do you know how to read if you never tried to pick up a book? Basically if we never learn then we never progress and through people's past experiences they give us literature for us to absorb so we do not make the mistakes that they have advised not to. If you cannot follow the wise on the path then you will be tripping on all the rocks that they avoided.

Flushing is a term when prior to harvest usually 10 days when you discontinue using nutrients to your plants. Leeching which I do every 4 months or if I encounter a nutrient toxicity is when you douse your plants with a solution like I use called Clearex to "flush" out the nutrient overload.

It's hard to "follow the wise" when there are ten idiots leading the ship towards an iceburg, what i'm trying to say is there are many ways of growing a plant some are better than others, 9 years ago i too thought my methods were strange, but i've read tons of info, and grown countless gardens in several houses, and i like to think i know what i'm doing.

People suggest things that i've already tried and found a better way of doing, and when i try to share my info with them, they get offended because they think they know everything from reading hightimes.

I eye through high times to laugh at the terrible centerfold pictures, and see how stupid some of the questions and answers are in the Jorge Rx section.

Why would you listen to Jorge Cervantes?

He wears a stupid wig and sunglasses, and lets people garden in terrible environments.

Flowering under compact flourescents is laughable, and he has recommended it multiple times.

If you can afford actual growing equipment, grow outside and quit wasting your time.

On replies to a couple responses...

I have flushed with a lot of water, i did it for about a year and a half in my first house, it was a bitch and a half making 5 gallons of
RO water for each of 72 plants, and to top it off it DID cause lockout and the plants didn't finish properly.

So, if you think i'm an idiot then don't listen to me, but if you'd like to grow better i have some good tips, i have been growing the best weed around for awhile, and have seen probably all the problems that can occur in an indoor garden, i don't even know why i'm wasting my time here, i wanted to help people grow better weed, but they just want to grow shitty plants under houselights, the way their great god Jorge tells them to.

On a side note does anyone notice that almost all pictures of nuggets don't have a direct reference to their size, and leaves it up to the imagination of the viewer?

Start putting rulers or something to compare size next to your nuggets, i use paper money, check my pics they are from last year, but they're still pretty decent.

I flush my plants thru-out the grow. Usually around every 3-4 weeks. When approaching the 2nd month of flower I introduce Molasses to increase bud size and yield (I've noticed using molasses buds are wayy stickier and fatter) towards the end, I flush until the waste runs clear. I continue molasses all the way thru until harvest.

Well if you are going to travel the world and talk to growers to write and compile a handbook to grow weed then it is probably a good idea to wear a disguise just in case. Probably not his real name either. LOL.

Just like when we come on here.....do we use our real names or personal photos if we are not in a place of acceptable means?

These guys are taking a huge risk to try to bring their dreams alive. There is a lot to lose. I can't blame him for the sunglasses or the wig if it is a wig I have no idea. I never noticed. I just read what he wrote.

You just have to let it go. Not everybody will agree all the time but when it really matters people will come together. Everyone is basically posting the same thing over and over again LOL. So we do agree but nobody wants to see. As long as this guy knows what he wanted to know then that's all that matters. He or she has not said a word since. I cannot blame them either.

I got Jorge's new one that came out in 2006. A lot of great info and pics. Its been a big help. I haven't read High Times that much but a buddy gave me a slew of back issues.
