Yesterday i switched light from 250w cpl to a 400w MH.
First picture is from before light switch, second and third are about 8 hours after.

Plant is about 24cm high. Light is about 48-50cm over plant. 26celsius

Light shock.

I don’t have the pics on my phone but that happened almost exactly to me when I switched from my shitty Home Depot grow light to an HLG in my 2x2. There might be pics in my linked journal if you wanna see.

Dim the light a little if you can.

If not, just give them about a week to adjust.
You should be fine man!!

I wouldn't worry.

I would say she's going through a bit of shock like a plant does when you "harden" it to move it outside when sprouted indoors.

A jump from 250w CFL to 400w HID is a pretty good shock to the system.

Your height (maybe move to 24"?Idk. Never ran a 400w. Shoot for 50k Lux @ canopy) and heat are good, so just give her a day or 2 to adjust and she should be fine.

I'm an HPS grower also.
Start a journal and we can follow along and give a helping hand.
My journal link is in my signature if you're interested.

Best of luck. Looks great!

i just got a new 480w light today to replace my jerryrigged lighting I had. Same things occurring, not as bad cause I dimmed the light. The way these plants react to light is kinda funny I think
I will confess, I'm a new grower. Only 10 months under my belt.

I managed to learn (by mistake) a lesson quickly though...(I think)

If you're going to give them hell (aka, a lot of light) do it early.

If you abuse them young they get used to it :)

I now run 2.6kW hps in a 4x8 for flower. There's no chance the first plant I started with under a 23w cfl would have been able to handle that.

Seedlings now break ground, go under 12k Lux for a weekish, then its 30k-90k Lux before flower is over.

#1 rule though...
Consistency is the key

From your pic, it looks like your fan is blowing directly on the plant aswell, this will cause you some problems. Also i see you have transplanted but left the plastic pot on, this can cause a lot of problems, the plant can get root bound and even when cutting the bottom off of the smaller pot can stop the roots from growing down, next time you need to transplant, get the root ball out and into new soil / coco or grow in final pots... other than that it seems like the change in enviroment stressed her a little, she will bounce back :)
