So I went away for 5 days and right before I left i started to have a big problem. I can't tell what kind of bugs are doing it but they're eatin all the fan leaves and leaving the stems on most of my plants but most of them have a few leaves left. Than I had somthing eat right threw the stem on my 1.5 foot tall plant. They haven't touché anything eles beside my plants not any of the wild stuff growing out there. But before I left I sprayed them all with pesticides and When I got back they were still being eatn up. I can't post pics off my phone for some reason but when I get home I'll put some up if I'm able to use a computer.

Sounds a lot like a snail or slug problem?
I,m having no joy out side this year either with my fruit and veg garden, same damage!
Mainly snails, lots of them about this year

Get some pics If possible :leaf:

Yeah I got all the pics on my phone but I'm not home so I'll upload em when I get home. I caught a bunch of lady bugs and a few praying mantis and put them in my garden and that didn't seem to help to much and I used Otrho bug be gone or somthing like that that kills I've 150 kinds of bugs but if it is snails or slugs can't u just put copper around the plant on the ground?

Without seeing a pic it almost sounds like you might have a larger pest like a rabbit if you are losing it like that.

You will know its slugs/snails because they leave a slimy trail behind, on the leaves they eat. If you don't see that, it's probably something bigger like Rizzo said. A rabbit will eat whole plants right down to the dirt. I have had pots look like nothing was ever planted in it.. Whole stem gone.

Copper does work for slugs. That's what I am using this year, and haven't had the crawl up past the wire I wrapped around the stem. I have found lots in the pots, but they just wont cross it. I heard Penny's work as well.

I've heard that as well but I have a chicken wire fence up around my spot .... It's like 4 maby 5 feet tall around most of it than I have a 1.5 foot tall fence to cover the rest and that's mainly where I get into my garden than I have fishing line tied up so that birds can't get into it as easily

Yea.. Look closely at the eaten leaves.. see if you can find a clear, glossy, dried slimy substance on them. If so, its Def. Slugs/Snails.

Damn! looks like you need some serious chicken wire mate! Something way bigger than a snail had your babes for breakfast! They might survive if you keep them from being served on the buffet line! Lol.... Sorry this isnt a laughing matter. Tighten up security mate.

I can tell u right now that a deer could hop that in its sleep!!! The wire needs to be closer actually almost touching the buckets that way no animals can reach them. Do u know what I mean. They wont be able to hop into the buckets. Well it would be harder for them to get them instead of hoping a fence and then going to town on them. It would also be better to individually wrap up each bucket.

Yeah I know how easy it is for a deer to jump a fence they jump per y horse fence all te time but I have another 13 plants in the ground so it ha to be that big.... I was thinking about putting chicken wire on top but idn how that's work and I don't think it was a deer cuz the dirt thing I did was look for deer tracks.... I hunt them when they're in season so I know what to look for lol and I didn't see anything. But the fence was about half as tall around a quarter of it as it is now so I'm going to see how this does. And I got fishing line up all over the place to scare deer off as much as possible
