What is "kush?"

I just read on the forums and some guy stated that he hates kush and kush anything. What makes kush a kush? How is the strain different from all the others? Why do all the rappers sing about it? Why don't people praise haze more? I notice so many people enjoy haze over ask that other shit... I grow and love doing it. But I never smoked weed in my entire life. Lol. I'm just curious.

Yeah kush is just a strain of weed. And as far as rappers talking about it......I think it's an "african american" thing. I can't tell you how many times I've been told "I gots dat kush" and it's really just brick weed. Lack of knowledge I guess. Yeah haze is great I think it's better than kush because I like the high it gives me.

In reality, kush strains are strains containing genetics which originated from the Hindu Kush region.

In idiot speak, as well as certain parts of the media, it simply refers to potent weed. In the UK, the media replace "kush" with "skunk", for the same effect.
