Co2 can be used during any temperature but plants can deal with more heat when the air is high in carbon dioxide.

why such a large variation when using co2?

When i think the ideal temperature when not using co2 is 79-82?

I'm just using a lamp/candle with a 1 cm flame for 2 plants ( i'm not sure how much co2 this produces ) i have it running while the lights are on 18/6 . Some times i give the room a blast from an lpg heater just before their bed time . Because i'm not sure how much co2 they get i am keeping the temps around 85 just to play it safe ( they drop to around 70-75 during darkness ) i don't know if this is correct procedure but it is working for me .

Anything over 80F and under 85F is where I keep my temps with c02. Keep an eye on RH, that will shoot up and mold will love the high RH. Serenade or sulfur burner should be your new friends...

My humidity is at 35% when lights on and as high as 55% when lights off.

I have sulphur burner on constantly is it ok for the plants?

The pores (stomatas sp?) open more with higher temps allowing the leaves to breathe easier.

CO2 does help plants tolerate higher temps, but it not a fix for higher temps.

Temps, I think, over 90F start to degrade the THC and plant growth slows, kinda negating the CO2 'growth boost'

Me, personally, try to keep it at 82F, the high end of ok.

how does one figure out what temperature to grow in when using co2?

Are there some tests i can do to determine the correct temperature, a difference of 10 F seems a bit much.

If you can run the 'perfect' 78F in your room, then adding CO2 is a good thing ( Your room is happy and CO2 isn't used as a band-aide fix for high temps. Co2 is the last thing to add to a room, the cost of if makes it kinda pointless for a newbie just getting his room & style rolling and set up)

But increasing temps 5-10F from the ideal 78F isn't a far stretch (can even save a bit on the elec bill)

But another thing to consider is soil vs hydro. Hydro res temps like to be _low_ (I've heard below 60F) But that also tosses out the flood-drain vs DWC. Any hydro system where the roots (even soil) get hot is a bad thing.
In hydro, pathogens will start growing causing root issues.
A flood/drain system is less likely to have as many issues (plus you can keep the res out of the grow room, keeping its temp down)

Funy enough u mention flood and drain because thats what im doing, i mix my food in a washroom in a BIG rez then i take from that one to smaller rezs below the tables... but your right the food below the tables may be getting to hot whats a decent temp for it? 60+ & what do u mean by "But that also tosses out the flood-drain vs DWC"

as for ac's i have a 5 ton thermoplus this girl can maintain any temp i want , just trying to figure out what the best temp could be :)

we are taking a poll on what temperature it should be.... not about higher temperatures can be tolerated using co2, we know this already
