What is this inside my bud

Just got gifted a smoke from a friend but noticed this inside the bud,

safe to smoke?

Looks like mold or a spiderweb.
Either way...I wouldn't smoke it.
If you break open the bud (away from any plants you have going) and it's webby inside or brown then it's rot/mold.

Exactly what @Jjgrow420 said. Break it open. If it puffs white, has more web inside, or is brown inside toss it. It could be just a bit of spider web. I would toss either way personally.

Not gonna lie...I probably would have just scraped it off and smoked it. Life is risk.
