Not 100% on the prime temp but CrudeDude was talking in the mid to upper 70's which is absolutely too high for DWC.
Have you ever ran bubble buckets? You can absolutely run very successful buckets at mid 70’s without issue or the need for hydro guard. The key is aeration and light proofing your buckets. You can run up to the 80s with hydro guard as well so it most certainly is not too high for dwc. I have a partner that runs a closed loop system with co2 in 6 bubble buckets with temps n the high 80’s low 90’s and he doesn’t miss a beat so believe what you want but I believe what I’ve seen and tested myself. It’s all about air and light proofing. I’ve ran many grows and have never had a need for all the bs they regurgitate on these sites. When I first started I thought I needed chillers and co2 systems and all the fancy nuets etc cause all the misinformation out here. I run temps high 70’s constantly and never an issue. Both flood and drain recirculating and dtw as well as dwc and rdwc. Personally my favorite is the ebb an flow due to simplicity on res changes and not having to handle multiple buckets. Rdwc are leak prone and too much piping and component cost imo. Too many places for a leak. After many years of trial an error ebb n flows my jam and honestly the cheapest aside from dwc for a single system. To each their own though like I said. If you think you need a chiller go get one.

Can run and optimal i think 2 different things , im no expert but i know root zone temps affect uptake

Simmer down now... LOL

I wasn't taking shots at your knowledge, it just looked to me like you overlooked the fact he was in DWC, as you were showing pics of a flood/drain reservoir I think.

No offence intended.

And yes I have ran bubble buckets before, 15 years ago and didn't like them much for my environment. It was too hot here. ;)

im cool as a cucumber my guy. Yes My res is for a flood drain system but I ran Bubble buckets for years before this. Only reason I switched was simplicity and ease of automation. But I never ran a chiller ever. Also run a full time soil and hydro vegetable garden year round rotating indoor and outdoor. Not just some dime store cannabis grower. Most the information out there about cannabis is junk imo. My ex wife has a masters in horticulture. Before her i believed most the misinfo. Only thing good she ever did for me was explain plants lol. Weed is exactly that. A weed. It’ll grow in the worst conditions and every strain is different. Hemp marijuana sativa indica it’s all different. Not just different names ya know. But for the water, my personal opinion, chillers are overrated. Just keeping your environment temps in acceptable ranges say 75-80 during day and a 5-10 degree differential at night is efficient to keep temps in optimal ranges imo. I’ve had issues when my room drops too low and the water temps drop. Hence putting a heater to keep ambient temps up on the night cycle. But again, no harsh feelings or salty was here. Just sharing my experiences and info I’ve come to learn over the years is all. Happy growing to everyone who tries it. It’s quite therapeutic really.

It's all good here. Love the Ex-wife info. I'm working on my 3rd one now and am still waiting for one of them to do something good for me. LOL

Ebb and Flow is about the only style I've yet to try actually, well that and NFT, is that still a thing? It does look like the simplest form of hydro to me, less plumbing and moving parts, fewer points for failure. I'll definitely be trying it in the future.

Sorry for the hijack OP.

lol I’m on my third too. Third times the charm they say. Jury is still out on that though lmao. I’ve never messed with nft. Flood and drain is great. I will say it takes some dialing in as far as pump times etc but once you get your plants dialed in they love it. Dwc is my second favorite for grows under 8 plants. Anything more and I go to flood tables. For a mother I’ll toss her in soil and be done. Soooo many different techniques these days. Just gotta weed the consumerism bs and find what’s actually legit and works. Organic a is my next step. Whish there was a working aqua phonics setup for cannabis. The flowering is too much for it though in my experience. Veg seems ok but not flower. And yeah my bad OP didn’t mean to jack your thread.

So here what happened
I lowered lights to 55% yesterday and today i see new growth all green , can light stress be the problem ?
I just saw this post tonight but I can't believe nobody asked you about your lights. I see this all the time with led users. Light stress looks like all kinds of different nutrient and ph issues. But clearly it is light stress if you dimmed and they are recovering.

Ive had it before where the stems facing the light were purple, the shade side were green. Its the plants built in sunscreen.

I actually did ask but op never answered.

I must of missed it. Good eye though. It was the first thought that came to me when I saw the ops plants. I guess the bombardment of suggestions must of put the op in a daze so he couldn't answer when you asked about his light(s). Its funny, in an ironic kind of way, how people come here to get help but many times end up with a misdiagnosis. I know folks are eager to help but damn people are so bias because of what they are going through in their own grows that they jump to conclusions while "helping" others.

you're in rockwool, it most likely swung above 6.5+ and its locking out nutrients right now, you should get run off from rockwool
hydro is 5.5-5.9, should keep it on the lower end

I've had issues like that before. My solution was to cover the blocks, to preven/stop the growth of algae or whatever the green stuff is.

I tried covering rockwool but instead of algae i got some type of mold/fungus so not sure wich one is safer
