alright, this problem seems as tho its not effecting the buds yet so i really wanna get this taken care of before it does. If you know what this is and how to fix it please let me know. it just started to show a couple days ago. heres the pix.

try using something with at least 10+ in the nitrogen department. or look up things you can mix with the water to raise the nitrogen

stem could be a genetic trait, ive seen a tone of plants with purp stems. im looking at the yellowing in between the veins of the leaf, looks like a N deficiency to me and he said his new nute has 0 for N

thanks for the help everyone, i always thought they didn't need much nit for flowering. start of week 4 12/12. i will try adding more nit to the mix. And the stems have been a bit purple since it germed. here a pic of the whole plant.

i think the plant takes nitrogen from its leafs in the flowering stage for bud production

plant looks great by the way, good call on fixing the problem early

ya the stem can be a trait but only on a select few... if you havent already, pick up jorge cervantes's book about growing... he is the best and that book tells you everything you need to know about growing... everything!

thanks, i've been researching on the net since i posted this and the more i look at pics of nit deficiency the less i think this is what the problem is. i gave it some nitrogen today but i am starting to think it may be a calcium deficiency. anyone with calcium def experience?

pick up jorges book in sig... im telling you man it has pics and detailed explantions on almost all nute toxicities and deficientcies... as well as pests and all... every cultivator needs to read this book!!!

heres what i did. hope it solves the prob. put a tsp of epsom salt and some calcium enriched tomato fert in a gallon of water and flushed with that. we shall see what happens next. i'll be keepin an eye out for that book, sounds like a good read.

the grow bible is def. a must it has pic.s of this very problem. there are better books out there but this is a great first book without complications
