What kind of driver are you?

Just want to see what kind of driver's we have here on RUI. I myself drive with the most care when I have passengers, but when I'm alone I tend to be kind of an asshole! I can't stand people who aren't paying attention to the road, or who drive 10 under the limit. I drive a 90's T-bird that looks like it should be in the wreckers but still runs great!:leaf:
 
oh god, i used to drive real crazy, i don't kn ow what was wrong with me. needless to say, my insurace skyrocketed and i got tired of it so i started driving slower. I don't particuarly care for dirving with passengers, i hate backseat drivers and i don't like being responsible, it stresses me out. I take cabs a lot and i try to stay under 85mph on the freeway. if i get a ticket i beeeeeeeeeeeeg to get out of it. I finally have OK insurance rates. i recommend driving like a normal human being. no oone likes that crazy guy who messes with the flow.

It must be nice. My lady gets out of tickets too. I must have eat shit written across my forehead.
 
I hear ya, dont you just hate it when you are in the fast lane and that guy comes flying up behind you, then try's to pass you on the right and can't do it, comes back behind you and rides your bumper? Reminds me of how I used to drive now it pisses me off.
 
I own a car that would take most cars, but im usually found in the slow lane. Go figure...
 
i loveeeeeee to drive fast.. speed is like a drug to me.. by the time i would get to work every night, i felt likle i'd just done a big line of crank.. my heart would be all beating fast and all.. i love it.. saying that though.. i try not to drive like a jerk off weaving in and out of traffic, switching lanes back and forth, etc.. and i can't stand tail gaters.. that shit really pisses me off.. do people really think that i'm gonna go any faster because they are only two inches from my bumper?? i don't understand that logic..
i was one time in philly, and i kinda cut this car off.. not even that badly.. not like they had to slam on the breaks to avoid hitting me or anything.. anyhoo's, i pull up to this redlight after i cut the car off, and i'm sitting there, and i look in the rearview and this chic in the car i cut off pulls up behind me and proceeds to smash into my car.. i was all like wtf?? i keep looking in my mirror and watch and she starts to put it in reverse and tries smashing into my car again.. i just ran the redlight and got the fuck away from the whack job.. i really couldn't believe that it had just happened.. wtf is wrong with some people in this world.????

i hate when 2 people driving the same speed are next to each other and you can't get by. why would that guy be in the left if he is not passing????? that annoys me so freaking bad. don't they know you get out of the left if you're not passing?? wtf is wrong with those peoppple?
 
I drive the same with or without passengers. The last thing I want is to harm someone else because of my carelessness. Not to mention the fact that the police here are tantamount to Nazis. We tend to toe the line. :D
 
I like to treat myself to some acceleration every now & again. If you're not breaking traction, there's no law stopping the rate at which I get to the speed limit.
 
On average I drive 200 miles a day, I think I'm a decent driver nevermind the 2 dui's.:oops:

I usually set the gps and chill listening to my music, cruise usually set to 5mph over.:-)
 
I got 7 years completely safe, and a few minor incidents prior to that. Clean driving abstract, but I drive truck for a living so it is a prerequisite.

Funny though, I spent 7 years getting the record clean specifically for my driving career (if that's what you wanna call it), and now I absolutely do NOT want to drive anymore. Not big trucks at least.

Had enough of slinging chains, crawling thru mud up to and past the diesel tanks.....digging out the truck.....and my boots from the knee high mud. Or ice roads....breaking thru. Fuck it.

Or having more paperwork than when I was in college....fuck me. Top it all off, I need to "stay clean".

That makes me go ballistic. I don't know what it is but it just doesn't fucking make sense.
Back in the day we were racing one night on the freeway and a couple cars did that, I was in Buick wildcat with a 430 cu in engine, Holly double pumper, side pipes the works. (yea side pipes make it go faster) In an automatic going about 90 We hit the dirt on the side of the road downshifted to low, threw the car around them and back on the pavement, screeched the tires and left a buncha dust doing 130 mph.. That was fun till we blew a head gasket and got busted
 
i grew up in a motor head family. so speed was commen as was fun. BUT we went under the moto Time and Place, and always use the uttmost respect.


when i was a kid, even then i would get Crazy, but only when the time and place was suited for it.

im a curtious driver, but get pissed off when people are Stupid when behind the wheel.

When I had my 87 iroc which was an automatic 350TPI, I drove very nicely... I had alot of money in the drive train and would have been devastated! My only problem in that was that I loved the torque. You could step on it and light up your tires all the way around the block LOL

Now I drive a 6-speed celica... I love to zip around in that thing. Blast through 2,3,4 going onto the highway is one of my favourite things to do :) but I am a responsible driver and don't go over the speed limit much. In town I try and save gas most of the time and keep the rpms low.

I get frustrated alot when people go 40km on a 40km road! I know I shouldn't though LOL

Here in canada it's not uncommon to find a flow of traffic near a big city going 90MPH+ We have a law in Ontario that if you go 50kph over the limit (30mph) Your car gets impounded on the side of the road, and you cant get it back until you pay the fine up to 10,000 which is common. I think its a very good law but find myself going that fast when there is a train of cars doing it on the open road. I find driving a bit faster makes me be far more aware of my surroundings. I pay close attention to the road at all times, and have never had any signs of falling asleep at the wheel even after ridiculous 18hr drives.
