Thats actually 55 watt cfl, not 300. Great bulb tho. Only for flowering tho, the one sold at lowes.

Ya. It's not really 300 watts they are 6k temp. I think it's 73 actual watts. I used one for veg on my first grow. Then I switched to 4ft tubes which I liked better but you have to line your babies up from tallest to shortest and tilt it lol. Actually go get a 4 ft tube. T12 are only $10. And tubes are 5 a peice. I never flowered with them. But they are great for veg.you can veg about 6 plants with it for under 25$. And if you flower w it just get the cool whites. 3k or 2700k bulbs, another $12.

which is better for some bushy bud, by i mean which will cover more plant area

I guess the cfls.But if you want good bud and coverage get a hps.

i can get the 250mh equivalent ufo 90w led, 2 for 30$ and they will yield way better than a cfl, but anyways i use 1000w mh/hps so i shit on all of this thread

u can use the sun blaze blue light 2 tube t5 hood i veg seedlings and clones under it works good, about 70 to 80$ i think so if u looking for a veg to harvest get a HPS like dude been telln ya

im gona try a 225w LED B/R suppose to be equal to 150w ballast that i got for 34$ off ebay, free shipping. ill be flowering a blue dream and pure kush under it in a 1'4" square by 3 feet tall growlab tent which are already in flower under a single t5 blue, which sucks lol. ill post some pics if u havent already bought a light setup bro. ill have it the 7th.

I tried a 400w sodium from home depot for $22 (usually $65-$100) everywhere else and it worked just fine. Although you still need a ballast and reflector which will cost you some $.

I use CFL's like the first 2 weeks then I go to 1000 watt MH for another 2 weeks and then I put them under the HPS for a week or 2 more before I witch to flower.

im going all out door now and the only problem i ever have is damn deer eating my plants so this time im making cages out of chicken wire

iv also herd that if you piss around your plants it discourages deer from eating them, is this true or should i try some thing els
